Overall a decent deal but they raised their prices on at least some of the games as part of this "deal". There are at least 2 games I've been eyeing from their online pre-owned selection that are now $24.99 that have been for months $19.99
I agree. I've seen them sell the games listed for cheaper in store than the prices they have listed for this deal. I think the third one free is really just buying them all at the price Best Buy was selling them for BEFORE this deal started.
Not this time around. I always filter to on sale, then preowned when they have this deal. Often difficult to partner up the same price or find something credible in stock. I dont think BB getting into this business was the best idea IMO
Like the last B2G1 deal, none of the good games are available for shipping, and none in stock at local stores :/
yeah, if you want in on any of the deals where you get something free, or highly discounted, especially electronics/video games, you gotta get in on there FAST.
There's people that buy 5-50 of the items sometimes, to exploit the free/discounted item when it comes time for tradeins. Usually getting more than they spent on the item.. You'll commonly see threads around here and other deal sites where some people mention buying 10+ copies or 20+ copies and how they might have trouble on tradein with em still wrapped up, or that they're all the same, etc.
It's a real shame people don't get flagged for that kinda practice through all the stores, and get banned. These deals were made for everyone to be able to shop and get savings, not for a couple people with scripts and feeds to sit and interwebraep the deal sites and take the best for themselves, in bulk.
So, I'd recommend getting an RSS reader/aggregation program to keep track of the RSS for the game deals, then set it for some kinda alarm on specific keywords.. like free, or yearly or 50% or 75% or bogo, etc. Then you might have as much of a chance as them at getting at least a better selection than you'd get a couple hours later, after the vultures picked it dry.
Yeah... I'm just looking to save a couple bucks on a game. I value my time more than the $8 I might save by spending hours waiting for deals like this though. The deal notifications on here suit my needs well enough.
If people want to sit at their computers like vultures just waiting to snag all these games up to make a $50 profit for themselves, whatever. It's their lives.
