I'm buying a monitor soon so I did my homework on this one already.
This is an AH-IPS panel with 3H antiglare coating
As discussed in a previous thread, this is NOT a 14ms panel. It's rated by LG as a 5ms (GTG) panel. There was a typo on the US LG site which is now corrected. In reality the response numbers aren't great, but there's no overshoot with the overdrive on this, so it's overall decent or good. But gamers probably won't be looking at this monitor.
There seems to be no difference between the P and PN that may or may not be attached to the end of the model number.
Decent average color deviation of 0.71 after calibration
Some light bleed in the top right corner
Moderate issues with backlight / gamma uniformity
12ms input lag (roughly average)
PWM (Pulse-width modulation) at 242 Hz (roughly average for new monitors says tftcentral)
If you're sensitive to PWM flicker, you should look for something else.
So there are no major flaws or strengths besides the wide viewing angles of all IPS panels.
Good monitor and a great value at this price. T-Up
