Those "few specs" are: 1080p screen, faster and more mainstream processor, double or quadruple the RAM and better cameras. Prices rumored to start at $229. Worth it? Hell yeah, but if you want to save $50, I guess go with the old Nexus 7.
Its actually more like $100, because the new one is rumored to start at 16gb again, so apples to apples this is a pretty damn good price.
Isn't a Nook HD+ running CM10.1 faster than Nexus 7?
at single-threaded performance, yes. But the GPU isn't as good and CM10.1 just isn't as stable as a nexus running google stock software.

Although a good deal, that case is shit. I have one when I bought a similar combo for the 16GB about a year ago. The cover doesn't even latch closed. Worth $5 at most. No one would buy that thing for $12-15
