That's odd considering its only supposed to be available at Costco and Sams club. Personally I wouldn't buy from there, but that's just me. Also you don't get the additional year of warranty Costco provides.
Features I like "2D" ? Are there "1D" televisions I'm not aware of ?
The 50" at half the price was a really good deal, this not so much.
This 65" tv is about 80% larger so it's almost twice the size of the 50" tv. So while yes the 50" tv at half price is a better deal, prices increase much more rapidly at screen sizes greater than 50" due to it being more difficult to obtain larger panels that are flawless.
Ummmm.... I'm not going to buy this set, so I am not sufficiently interested to download manuals and spend my time comparing them. I was just trying to help out those who ARE interested in buying one and clarify the differences. And after all your research you missed the different screen, which to most is probably more important than the number of HDMI inputs, so I guess it's harder to figure out than it seems at a glance, huh?
Please learn how to read....anyone who knows anything about HDTV's doesn't care if you are going to buy one or not....so please move along and let the grown ups talk.
Personally I'm still on the fence about whether I'd be willing to spend a little extra on the 60" ST version....don't care about 3d but just wondering if the picture will be a little better compared to the S series this year. The price is great and its 5" bigger!! Always a plus!
price is not bad for a 65" Plasma
yeah and one of the best too.....and not to mention Panasonic has got it together in the aesthetics department now.

If gaming is not a concern then I would say go for the ST60 if a 60" is fairly close in price (which it should be). But I haven't kept up on the ST60's prices. In the past, IMO, the 65" at $600-$700 more than a 65" S64 seemed unfair, but the 60" ST60 seemed pretty even with the S64 price wise.
Supposedly the ST60 series is not the best for gaming with 73ms of lag. Odd though because it is out of sink with all their other models with the lag. It was the only one to do poorly. Not sure why though.
If I wasn't interested in FPS twitch type games, I would have gone with a 60ST60.
Check out avsforum.com. CNET gave the ST60 the highest rating ever (their reviews encompass value too).

"I own every version ever released of every Star Wars movie. I also own numerous light sabers. I also know how to use the force and have flown several X-Wings both recreationally and in combat situations. All I can say is that Ewoks shouldn't be blinking. I was there to experience whatever battle that was and I can say for a fact that they do not blink. Darth Vader doesn't scream like that at all and trying to add that in is rewriting an important piece of my life's history...-dudemind
Seems that I either I got the last one over the weekend as it now says "This product is out of stock and cannot be added to your cart at this time." when you use the link in OP or I'll be a sad panda when they cancel my order.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ship notification.
If you search the Costco Website they only list the 50" S64 now. The 65" is no longer listed at all.
