My directv subscription came up a few months ago. I called in and was given an offer which i thought was ok, but not great. So i waited and called back every 2 weeks. Every 2 weeks, the offers that I got became worse and worse, so i finally decided to switch to Dish.

I didn't see any good deals for dish other than what was listed however here are the best deals that I found. I went with the $200 rebate back

Option #1
GWdish.com will rebate you $200 back with the AT200 package and up, or $150 for the AT120 package.

I got the Hopper and comes with the free Sling adapter!!!!

NOTE: Website is nothing fancy, this is a small company, but I did get the rebate check as promised right away. It looks like they are compensating the difference so i'm ok with helping out the small guy.

You can ask for Phillip if he's free and mention slick deal so he knows not to try and upsell you unneeded bundles.

Option #2
If you prefer to go with a bigger company, this link will get you $100 credit with Amazon.

I went with option 1 since i got $200. I received it after 1 week of ordering the service.

Both options should be free activation and no installation fee.

I really dont like directv since they kept raising their rates every time i called. Normally i can negotiate better and better, but this just got worse and worse!

Update: I really like Dish a lot. If anyone is thinking about it, the Hopper is amazing. I can set it to auto record all prime time shows, and then it will also auto skip all the commercials without needing to push a button when i watch those prime time shows.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I think there's the option of also getting a Ipad 2 for free but with 2 year agreement. I forget which plan you have to sing up on and how much discount you get for the 2 years. I'll see if I can google it or find the flyer.

the option of the ipad 2, you need to pay the standard monthly rate(no discount on monthly rate), which is like $25 more a month for service. Its 12 months more at the higher rate = 12x25= $300 more. Ipad 2 is around $300-$350 so its not a great deal. Also, its the older generation.

my 2 options above, you get the $200 cash back and $25 off per month of service for first 12 months so in net its $500 back instead of an Ipad 2.

I just checked the offer and you need to select the America's Top 120 package($29.99/mo. then reg. price from month 13 on) to get Ipad and free hopper.

You are probably right on the $200 deal, but who actually does the installing for the small company you list?

They are based in PA, but the installers are Dish network installers. I'm in Los angeles and Dish sent someone out.

I think its the Top 200, but i don't watch sports much so you'd need to check with Dish.
