I only got $20.91 boo. I didn't file a claim according to the letter (didn't know at the time). I don't know which of our multiple Toyotas and Lexuses owned over the years qualified for this check as there were three vehicles that qualified for the lawsuit.
I got the same thing and did not file the claim either (don't even remember to receive a postcard). Anyway went to the website on the letter (http://www.toyotaelsettlement.com/), saw the summary of settlement benefits list. One of them is to install a brake override system (BOS) in certain subject vehicles at no charge (they have a list, my vehicle is on the list). So should I just go to dealer to get the installation? Thanks,
My Lexus RX 350 is in the list of vehicles included in the settlement, but NOT in the list of models eligible for a brake override system. Why? I rather have my car fixed than cash a $29 check which forfeits my rights for any claims should my car crash due to this problem.
Is Toyota telling me that I may have this problem at some unforeseen future time but they don't have a fix for my car?
