I do see a difference in the after adjustments, many were quite similar to what was posted above, I also see a difference after software update to 4.01 I think there is also a 4.06 update, I think the blacks are fantastic.

Micro Center currently has the LG 60" PN5700 for $599.99 with free in-store pickup. This is $100 lower than their latest price and approximately $400 cheaper than Amazon is currently.

Link [microcenter.com]

This TV is also eligible for 6 months of free Netflix, bringing the effective net cost down to $552.

EDIT!! This is a repost! Please do NOT give me any rep! This was first posted by user SR71. Please give him/her rep by clicking here.

There was some confusion regarding the model numbering for this HDTV since it was a late addition to the lineup. This is actually a model step ABOVE the PN6500, which is the same minus the smart functionality.

When Micro Center runs these types of promotions, they usually run out quickly. I would highly suggest those on the fence to buy it online and do in store pickup. You can always cancel your order later.

$999 on Amazon. [amazon.com]

Tried finding more reviews as this is cheap enough to replace my current plasma but can't find anything.

Wow, awesome price. Too bad I don't need a 60" TV.

For those of you who are concerned about plasma vs. LCD/LED, don't be, in this price range you get much better bang for the buck, picture quality wise, with plasma, and burn-in is not an issue any more for conventional TV use*.

*When I say conventional TV use I mean it's fine for watching TV or playing video games. I wouldn't use it for a static display such as a stock trading or airport monitor.

Repost, you were 3 minutes late.
Really? You came here and made the effort to post that? How about we all focus on this killer deal. If we merge threads, I don't care. I obviously put an extra several minutes of effort into mine. shake head

Smilie I agree, no doubt this is an amazing deal but I ended up returning this TV 3 months back and went for LA7400...

what bothered me when I looked at your post was, the person who posted this first did not even get ONE TU and this one got 4. Otherwise I generally ignore reposts. This has to be merged under the other thread.

How do we merge?
