My two tickets for the Broncos/Ravens showed up yesterday via USPS Priority 2-Day. Just the tickets with a face of $370 though they list the ARV at $460--hopefully they give me $90 worth of beer tomorrow (I think that is about a 6 pack from Aramark). These are club seats (not a suite) so I'm thinking there probably won't be any extras--maybe they set the ARV thinking there'd be a parking pass. (<--That may sound ungrateful--I'm not, I'm very grateful, I'm just curious about the ARV/face difference. The market value of the seats is higher than the ARV: I've been offered $700 for the seats straight up or $500 + a couple of nosebleeds...not happening.)

Thanks Boyd! I'm ready for some football!!!

Nah it appears they are all goofed up.

Showing up as just the Pittsburgh Steelers for you too?

Sure they'll fix it in a couple days like the did last time it was down.

I was scared in the first half, but after that smooth sailing...I say 'GO' you say 'BRONCOS'!! GO!

Tailgated for a bit before the game--awesome. The couple next to us was awesome, they won seats as well, the seats were awesome, the game was awesome, I can't think of another thing to say was awesome, cuz it all was awesome! One of the funnest games I've been to and I've been going to them for longer than I'm willing to admit. I never liked the Thursday opening game thing since it makes fantasy/pick'em leagues weird, but if Denver gets to host them, I'm all for it!

ETA: "Don't buy stuff, buy experiences."

On the train ride to the stadium I overhear some fans talking about New York in February. "Too soon," I'm thinking, but expectations are high for the Broncos this year, and I can't help but get caught up in the idea, "How many miles do I have? Can I even get tickets?"

The train arrives and we head to the first parking lot, they are all talking about who they are supposed to meet and where, who is cooking what, and who didn't bring enough Tequila, but I'm just enjoying my ice cold beer on a hot September day. Life is good. As we walk to the stadium I'm so lost in people-watching I don't even notice we've arrived. Being in club, we have our own entrance. Word seems to have gotten around about the new bag policy and we get in fairly quickly. An escalator whisks us up to the air conditioned, extra-wide concourse, where the lines are short, the food court is huge, and the bars are bigger. I feel bad for the common man, stuck just a level above or below me, with their long lines, unconditioned air, and only hot dogs to eat. As we make our way to our seats, my concerns for their plight continue--the seats are perfect. We are in the north east final section of club seats. I'm getting excited. Everyone is excited. We're ready for some football!

The time is 6:15. It is still 6:15. Still 6:15. Is the clock broken? Are these skydivers gonna die, they sure are coming in steep...Let's go already! Why aren't the teams on the field yet? Who's singing the anthem, why haven't they started yet? Lightning delay!?!? WTF!?!? Noooooo! Nothing can be done but sit here and (queue Sam Elliot) enjoy an ice cold Coors Banquet Beer. The OriginalTM. Everyone is talking in hushed tones, as though the clouds can hear, there's a pretty vicious cell just east of the stadium, but weather heads east, let's go already... KICKOFF! YAY! The first few Ravens possessions are as loud as I've ever heard. I'm hoarse (bad pun intended?) by the end of the half. I can still stomp and clap though. When the Broncos have the ball it is so quiet I can hear conversations in the next section over. Time is playing tricks on me (and it has nothing to do with the number of ice cold Coors Banquet Beers. The OriginalTM. I've consumed). Every tackle, every pass, every kick seems to be moving in slow motion. The third quarter is taking forever...I want this over...I keep checking the scoreboard to make sure the Broncos are still winning. End this now, while I can still be happy. The fourth is moving even slower than the third. The clock says there's only 10 minutes left, but there's been 8 months of heartbreak...5 to go, can we relax yet? 3,2,1 and the Broncos can put a "1" in the W column. For the next couple of days at least, the Broncos stand alone as the best team in the NFL. I hope I can say the same come February in New York.

Look at that view! Thank you for sharing your pictures. I'm glad you had a great time in those incredible seats! So your prize package was different and only came with tickets? I wonder why they vary. Maybe Texans get 4 since they're in a smaller market?

TIP:
How to identify a telemarketer quickly---background noise indicates a call center. An Echo in the background identifies a voice over IP call. A pause before connection to caller indicates a robo call system. A winning call will identify you by name and not dance around you being a winner.
