Here's another link that I found:

https://www.key.com/personal/prom...blet_alias

It looks like you have to make at least $500 in direct deposits or initiate eight transactions per statement cycle or you'll get charged a $7 monthly maintenance charge. Plus you need to keep the account open for at least 180 days or you get hit with the $25 cancellation charge. So if you only did 1 direct deposit for $500, then you'd be looking at $14 in monthly maintenance charges (takes 90 days before they send the Fire HD) plus either the $25 fee if you cancel right after you get it or $21 if you wait another 3 months @ $7 a month.

So the "Free Kindle HD" could end up costing you at least $35 plus a hard credit pull for a Kindle Fire HD which has been as low as $129.

Yes, I heard that too. They recently incurred hard pull on new checking accounts opening now

It really depends, but it is not worth a hard pull for only $200, at least for me.

It is basically a credit inquiry from one of the four credit bureaus ( Experian, Transunion etc)
to check your credit worthiness. There are 2 types. Soft and hard. Soft inquiry will not impact your credit score nor will stay in your account for 2 years. Hard inquiry does and also,Say, you have a 3 -4 banking inquiries within 4 months , your 5th request may get denied.
$200 or Kindle fire hd is not worth a hard pull.
