Hi everyone,

As I logged into www.myrz.com to check new offers today I saw that as a Best Buy Rewardzone member I was eligible for $5 off a 3 month subscription or $10 off an annual subscription bringing the prices to $12.99 or $39.99. Sale expires 8/17/13

I can't link to my account info but on Best Buy is advertising the sale on the card's product pages as well. You must sign up for a free Rewardzone account first.

I didn't see this posted anywhere else so if it is a duplicate I apologize. Last post I saw of this type of sale was in late June when I ran a search.

I'm still a newish poster so if I need to correct something please let me know.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Absolutely! It's a great value as it is with all the games you have access to and deals so for $40 it's awesome. I'm figuring that with the new generation (PS4) around the corner that the Plus prices might go up in the future so I think now is the time to buy since it will just add to your subscription.
it wont go up. an interview with the playstation pres said itll be fifty dollars

anyone purchase the year from the previous Best Buy deal?
I hope the card/code doesn't expire.
I'm waiting until november/December to activate when the PS4 comes out
The PSN 12 month cards used to have a 1 year expiration. At one time the date was even printed on them but not anymore. There is no longer any expiration on PSN cards. I feel 100% confident in telling you this although if you are talking about a 3 month card I would not feel that confident although it is my understanding that those too work the same way; no expiration.

I wish these offers were just on the regular playstation network cards so that you could just put them in your PSN wallet and turn them into a 12 month membership whever you want.

Same here, $34.99 ($2.91/mo) is a real FEEL GOOD price.

I expect that we will see many more sales of PSN subscription(perhaps even for less) before the end of the year even directly from the PSN Playstation Store. Sony is going to want to draw as many people as possible in and with so many choosing the PS4 over the Xbox One they're going to be making a grab to lock in future PS4 gamers.

Just saying, applying for their card (regardless if you get it or not), is not worth a $10-20 discount.

I'd rather save the inquiry hit on my credit for that low of an amount.
Yeah. I know. But at the time I looked at it as an additional discount on PS+. I doubt I'll ever use the BB card besides that first and only time too.

If you sign up for their in-store credit card you can also get a $20 off $50 discount, thus making the one year card cost even less.

I believe the $20 off $50 is taken first, then the $10 off the remaining balance. So in the end you could pay as little as $20 for the year of PS+.

But the $20 off is only if you're approved and they likely put the $20 charge on the store card account rather than letting you pay cash for the $20 charge.

I think they do give you a $10 discount for just trying to sign up for the card too. So either way, you could be paying either $20 or $30 for a year of Plus.
Have you done this yourself? I recently signed up for the card and the 20 off 50 was very restrictive. I don't believe subscription cards were on the list.

My total on the BB card was like $29 n change. But I believe I paid off the game at $40 n change with a gift card after they manually took off the $20 discount. So what was left was what was on the new card, which means they gave me $20 total off the PS+ card. Not $20 for the year card per se, but better than $50 imo.

I don't think best buy makes much money from selling credit for another store

Hey. I ordered one and Im waiting to pick it up in store. Usually it shows me when theres tax and what the total would be with tax but this time it just showed as $39.99. Is there no tax for this product or am I going to get ninja-ed when I get to the store and pay for it?

Gift cards aren't taxed in many (most?) places.
