Apparently Time Warner is giving everyone a small speed bump up.

Just power cycle your modem to see the new speeds.

Standard = ~16.5x1.15 (from 15x1)
Turbo = ~22x2.22 (from 20x2)
Extreme = ~33x5.55 (from 30x5)
Ultimate= ~55x5.55 (from 50x5)

People in SoCal don't do it! It will bring your download speed down, just upload is a little up.

Works for Basic as well in NYC, went for 3/1 to 3.5/1

Did this work for you?

Yes - 6

No -

Those of you who despise TWC, know that it's not you and you alone:

Great! I didn't know about this until my friend told me. My speed went from 30mbps to 34.4mbps. Not a huge increase, but the it is still a boost.

Thanks!

Not to take away from this but check to make sure your modem is compliant with latest version/firmware. My Motorola modem for Comcast wasn't and until I researched it after getting similar offer I called and they sent me a new modem free to get latest speeds.

I rebooted on the original and saw no difference. That is why I checked it out because the ISP won't voluntarily tell you. Keeps the bandwidth more available. IMO.

TWC's way of off setting their increased cost for modem rental fees from $4/month to $6/month. 50% increase in modem rental fee and 10% increase in speed. I hope this speed increase will be reflected when I reboot the Motorolla SB6141 modem I bought not long after they first announced their backdoor price increase.
