I got one for my wife a couple months ago when it was on sale for $430 at ebay. It is also a refurbished model. Trackpad and keyboard seems to be okay. So far she is very satisfied. Resolution and slim design is definitely a plus. I guess Vizio fixed this issue when refurbishing the ultrabook.
does dead pixel very noticeable? My machine arrived wonderful with great condition, the charger look like it has been used before....
why the heck this laptop doesn't have a memory card reader? I always have 32gb of SDHC to store temp/folder, download, and transfer data so my SSD won't get abuse!
damn it,,, not sure I should return and get the zenbook, but for $380, it's pretty darn good deal...
Just wanted to get back with everyone on this laptop..
I received mine today and have been giving it the test run..
First ... This was the most professional packaging for any refurbished product I have ever purchased .... It was very good..!!
The laptop looks very good ... like brand new .... very well made...!!
The screen looks great ..!!
I'm glad to have Windows 7 on this computer..
The wireless connection is very good..!!
The SSD HD loads quick.
So far there are no issues with the touch pad..it works as good as any of my other laptops.
Now for a minor appointment ...
I say minor because I paid 349.00 for this great looking laptop.
The only thing I would have liked to see is a back lit keyboard.
No doubt I can't complain with what this laptop offers ... but it would have been nice...
All the other items people were concerned about are of no concern to me ... I load all my pictures through the USB
And If I ever really need a wired ethernet connection I can also connect through my USB with a adapter.
All in all everything is working and looking great ..
Could you please clarify what registry changes you are talking about? Thanks!
Urdnot! Long time no chat, you giant toad! All the bionics in the universe and can't figure out a human OS tweak - must be that genophage; can't really concentrate when you're shooting blanks, eh?
Anyway, this was just a regedit that turned off the touchpad while the kb is active. But its been so long I don't remember what it was. Sorry. The info I've provided should get you to the right google search terms though.
