geeks.com alternatives

doctorevil30564 539 117 August 12, 2013 at 08:41 AM
Guys I wanted to ask if anyone could share alternative sites to geeks.com now that they have shut down.

I know about pacificgeeks.com which is useful but their site is a bit hard to search thru compared to how geeks.com used to be.

Also I would like to find a site that sells new or newer refurb de-branded computer systems like geeks used to, Bare OS de-branded systems or ones with OS either way is fine.

Did you see the link to http://www.evertek.com/ on the geeks.com home page?

Also look at cowboom.com & tigerdirect.com

I did but they only want to deal with companies not individuals. I tried to setup a user account with them.

I have tigerdirrect and cowboom in my list of sites to check for stuff, but was hoping to find a couple more sites that have reasonable prices for debranded / bare OS desktop systems to give me more options.

I really hate it that geeks shut down I've given them a lot of business over the years.

Evertek is on Ebay although the store there sells fewer items.

Have you tried the more common sites like Newegg and MicroCenter?
Newegg sells barebones systems of all types and is my go to usually before TigerDirect (mainly due to ShopRunner supporting Newegg for free 2-day shipping on a lot of items)
