NET10 [net10wireless.com] is selling refurbished LG Optimus Net Android smartphone for $19.99. Сomes with full 1 year warranty!

NET10 site won't let me paste a direct link (wants to know your zip first), but just follow the link ABOVE and scroll down to "See all NET10 phones" link. It's there towards the middle/bottom of the list!

Shipping is free! See WIKI if you have any further checkout questions!

Specs are far from impressive, but for only twenty bucks, still a nice cheap backup Android.
I'll probably use it as an MP3 player / Pandora streaming device at the gym or to play an occasional game & check Facebook. It works with Wi-Fi, so you don't have to activate it with NET10!

Specs: 800 Mhz Processor, 3.2" 480x320 Touchscreen, Android 2.3 OS, 3.2 MP Auto-focus Camera, Bluetooth/3G/Wi-Fi, 4GB microSD, etc.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

YES, it has been OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED by SD MEMBERS IN THIS THREAD:
you CAN use the device and its features without activating on Net10. This includes Google apps, mp3, camera, wifi, pictures, music, docs, etc. The phone comes with 4GB SD card.

Unlocking Net10 to use as a phone elsewhere is not easy and especially not if you register it with Net10. You might be able to unlock it, but we don't know for sure until we get them and play around with them.

Q: Are all of the phones on net10wirelessphones.com unlocked?
A: Yes, all phones are unlocked.

Some possible roms. LOOK FOR THE NET10 VERSION WHICH IS LG L45C. There are some other OPTIMUS NET VERSIONS WHICH are different and apparently incompatible!:

I moved all of my apps to the sd card by using AppMgr III which you can download for free from Play store:
AppMgrIII [google.com]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apps verified working for Wifi calls using Google voice:

- Spare Phone https://play.google.com/store/app...hone&hl=en

- Groove IP and Lite https://play.google.com/store/app...veip&hl=en

- PHONE for Google voice https://play.google.com/store/app...hone&hl=en (pretty large for a calling app, move it to SD card ASAP)

Rooting

If that doesn't work, use Sons of Korhal (app and drivers zipped together)

You should put a non-net10 sim card in the phone. It will not recognize it and give you the unlock for different carrier menu.

If you leave the net10 sim inside, it will recognize it and go through the net10 activation process. That would only be if you want to use with Net10.

mine just arrived a few hours ago. took a long time for it to update, but it arrived

Yup, just got mine also.

Thank you to those that kept reporting OOS. As soon I read that, I said: let me try and see if it's really OOS. While they were 1/2 way correct, they failed one rookie mistake...actually putting the order through especially when the sale price goes thru.

I had similar problems until I did a full factory reset. it's in Settings > Privacy> Factory Data Reset. I want to be clear that I really don't know what I'm doing, just learning on the run. Resetting may cause other problems. But then I'm listening to Pandora and looking at aerial photos in Google Maps. GPS is tracking well and seems to get plenty of signal through my roof. It followed me for 100 miles today but could not update map zoom without a wireless connection in the car.

I'm looking into rooting now but may not have the need. Don't know what will go wrong next... Smilie
had to turn off mobile data .. I think the reason why it was not logging in because it was trying to connect through the network

NET 10 is an L45C phone.
IIRC L45C is the CDMA version, L35G is the GSM version.

Since my phone arrived net10 has called me once a day. No message, just a missed call. Anyone else?

same here...

didn't get any calls yet. do hope it stays that way!

btw. has anyone thought about what's going to happen if the new owner abuses the phones for something illegal? net10's IMEI records will point to us... and i guess it will be pretty hard to prove that we sent exactly that phone with that IMEI in for trade-in... maybe that's just me being paranoid... They called me twice to apologize and tell me that the shipment was delayed because of high purchase volume and that they can check my shipment status if I tell them my email and order number... except that I already have the phone and they should know my details already if they have my phone number.

I got my phone have it set up for my kids to play any of 10 games I installed and skype now from home.
skipped activation and turned on airplane mode then enabled wifi.
Harder part was rooting and setting up partition for using apps from sd card (reset everytime I tried before rooting) the whole procecess was free minus phone cost.
-Root'd with unlockroot free (took once for it to fail to pitch pro then worked second time)
-Used Minitool to partion sd card to extend the ability to put apps on sd card
-used lind2sd app to link apps to sd extention partition.
Thrilled that its working as I hoped now, and my kids are happy to have another toy!.

Thats big fat negative on that one!!! This phone has an internal SIM card! (Its tape)

Tried everything to get it to switch!

Net 10 would not even get me to the hidden menu.
