Only $259 now! nod

This made the FP back in July when it was $279, but it's now $20 less. This is the matte version, and it doesn't have much glare at all, unlike the glossy versions.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/330932578...1497.l2649

I purchased two of these last week from "dream-seller" to have have a dual QHD setup and they both arrived in 2 business days FedEx International Express from Korea. No dead pixels, perfect setup, boxes in great condition. They work amazingly well! I couldn't be happier.

This monitor has a Samsung PLS panel and is equivalent to the QNIX QX2710; s The links are for the matte version, but there is also a glossy version available for the same price. Note, this monitor only has input for Dual-Link DVI, so your desktop just needs a decent DVI port--even cheap $30 cards have this.

Here's a great review from TekSyndicate on this exact model:
https://teksyndicate.com/videos/x...r-overview

I know there have been many of these postings lately, but for $259 (the lowest price ever) and the positive reviews--mine included--you can't beat this deal!

My old 560 Ti had two

I had to ship one back to SK that was DOA (purchased from green-sum). I didn't have to pay any shipping fees. Don't know if Dream Seller will be as good.

My friend ordered two of the other monitors that were onsale last week and one of them was bad. Dream Seller asked him to take a video of the problem and post it on youtube after a few days he got back with him and told him to ship it back COD and once he receives the monitor they either fix it or replace it.

This is the stuff that makes me cringe. That isn't terribly difficult, just a royal pain. It is basically gambling. Dead pixels, bad units, then having to deal with unknown sellers halfway around the world. Still, I'm tempted because I'm on my old Acer P244w, which is decent, but not nearly that resolution and I'd like to keep upgrading.

I just finished putting my new i5-4670k together and it boots.....I'm so tempted. Still need a GPU, too! Or I could just put my two 6850s from my old pc in and see how it goes.

Decisions!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a second 27 incher if my desk had the room for it XD.

Because it's not listed in the OP: DON"T GET PERFECT PIXEL. THESE MONITORS ARE NOT ACTUALLY SORTED BY PERFECT/NON-PERFECT PIXEL AND YOU WILL HAVE JUST AS HIGH OF A CHANCE OF GETTING A MONITOR WITH PIXEL DEFECTS.
And you know this how?

There is not the least possibility that they "bin" these and sell the cherry-picked monitors for a higher price?

Sure you can say the old... "A friend of a friend's dad's cousin's aunt's sister read an article on the internet that said it to be true" but until you quote your sources and factual basis for saying that each and every one sold is the same...

Well I guess I'll just call BS Smilie

What is "fact" is that they guarantee PP monitors (for only a few bucks more) to only have 1-2 defective pixels and minimal light bleed (yes yes I know this is not perfect LOL) vs the other monitors having up to 5 dead pixels and any amount of bleed so I'll toss them a few extra bucks for this. To others this extra money is a waste but to others it's worth knowing that "at most" you are looking as 1-2 dead pixels and if more you can return.

They claim that they test each and every one right in the description. Sure you can get a perfect model without paying extra but I just did not want to take the chance that I would get some mess with tons of bleed and dead pixels all over the play. Perhaps I'm just an old fool Smilie

For what it's worth this is the reply I got from them before I placed my order...

Quote :
Hello. Thank you for your interests Smilie

Our perfect pixel policy allow that there may be up to 2 minor defective pixels and light backlight bleeding even though it is Perfect Pixel monitor.
Please consider this carefully before you purchase since it cannot be the reason of return.

But we do test every single monitor before we ship out. So you don't have to worry about any sever defectiveness.

Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions Big Grin

Thank you very much. Have a good day!
Best regards,

- dream-seller

FYI, just looking at the seller ratings, it sounds like pixel perfect is a waste. Sounds like they won't replace it if it does have dead pixels, so why pay extra?

Advertised as pixel perfect still have dead pixels seller refused refund teptaylor.us.tx ( 3 ) Aug-16-13 06:01

I agree with you 100%. I waited months thinking the same thing and I'm still nervous that when I get my order it may be bad but the only real alternative (even buying from Amazon has risks but much much less) is to buy local, pay almost double and add tax on top of it.

So we take a chance anytime we buy like this. Some we win, some we lose.

There is a big reason these are so cheap but I look at it this way. Look at all the seller reviews from Ebay. 99% positive can't all be faked.

It's all about expectations. I paid extra for Pixel Perfect. Some call this a foolish waste of money but at the time of my order it was an extra $20. I expect some light bleed and 2 dead pixels (what they consider perfect LOL) but if I get better I'll consider that a bonus. If you expect a perfect monitor of this size and resolution for under three bills with no risk... well I think you are being unrealistic.

If your friend bought from Amazon he might not have to post on youtube (that is a bit silly IMHO) but he would still have to ship it back and the hassle is almost the same.

My two cents Smilie

PP=1-2 dead pixels
Non-PP up to 5

Is 3 dead pixels worth $20-30? Some would say yes, some no. I agree that perfect should mean zero but I also understand that what started off as perfect in Korea might not be perfect once traveled and bounced halfway across the world. LOL

The base is only about 7" thick, and the screen itself is only 2-3" thick. It's advertised as 22mm thick-but that's the screen.

They are quite thin and fairly lightweight.. part of that is because the power cord has a brick and you power the monitor similar to a laptop plug.

Check your email for a 10% off eBay coupon. I received my unique code yesterday. It brought the monitor down to $233.10 after the 10%.

One last question:

the only thing preventing me from pulling the trigger is the DVI-D. do you think it will come with a DVI-D cable? my video card does have dual link DVI-D, but I do not have the cable, nor am I really wanting to spend more money on a cable.

Meh.. Looking for an almost frame-less design and that's pretty thick. Using a Dell 240fpw.

I read that they come with a short 3 foot cable but don't quote me on that LOL.

Never mind, I read the description, it does indeed come with a dual link DVI-D cable. That's all the reassurance I need to buy one!

If you purchase the SquareTrade warranty AFTER purchasing the LCD, do you have to register it manually since it's not directly tied to the purchase?

Wow. Two front page listings for the same thing I posted July 4th..
I guess there's been a policy change. I also thought it rather strange that a seller with a 99.4% positive Ebay rating with 12199 sales would be considered disreputable enough to merit a deletion
