You are invited to check out our newly built inventory checker. Currently it supports Target, Staples, Home Depot, WalMart, Office Depot and Radio Shack. Please report any bug or desired feature you might want to add. If you have working URL, please post in this thread so we may add in the tool. Thank you. woot

Update 09/14/2013: We added a function which you can view recent inquiry history.

Update March 4, 2014: We added Staples 2 as an alternative for Staples. Staples 2 uses a differnt link than Staples and works on some SKUs that would return error on Staples (examples: 744783 or 417707)

Update March 22, 2019: The checker stopped working for most stores since they have changed their inventory links. Good news is that we just fixed Best Buy's inventory checker. Please be the first one to check out and let us know your comments or questions.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Why the heck did you disable right clicking? That is SUPER annoying. While it might prevent someone from copying something "special", it also prevents them from easily pasting, right clicking and searching, right clicking and opening in a new window, selecting and then right clicking to just print that selection, etc..

Every time I run into this on a web site, it leaves a really really strong negative impression about the people behind the site and how they do business. Please fix it.

Thank you for the feedback. You need to find 8-digit item number at Walmart.com. Usually it comes in the link of the product (e.g. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Telesco...r/25095299, product number is 25095299). In your case, I searched ?Fiskars Power Lever Bypass Lopper" at Walmart.com and the above product is the closest I can find (which may carry a different UPC). And since this one is sold from third party (shoplet), you will find that your local Walmart does not carry this item.

BTW, you can buy this item from Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JKBCSU/ at $19.50 (sold by Amazon). look around

Thank you, really Smilie It's not blocking right clicks anymore.

It's a small annoyance on one web site...but after hitting dozens over time, it eventually just gets infuriating. Like Chinese water torture.

As general feedback, it's more or less "same as the others", but with ads, a forum, and deals aggregated from other web sites (that doesn't seem very fair, but, well.)

What would make yours worth going to over some of the others would be a mobile version of the site. Or even an app.

Hope you add Best Buy, Lowes and HomeDepot soon. It'd be nice to be able to punch in a sku and see all the stores within 50 miles that stock it.

Glad that the right click issue is resolved. All excellent feedback. We started the website just trying to give people who enjoy shopping deals but may only have 5-10 minutes per day to check around quickly. Slickdeals is so good that virtually you don't have to go anywhere else.laugh out loud But sometimes it is time consuming to dig into hundreds of posts searching for deals. The mobile version or even an app is what we are working on now.

Regarding adding other merchants, we are constantly looking for that possibility. It is just that some retailers do not provide direct URL access for inventory information (like Best Buy, you would need much more information including product ID and item ID together with SKU ID to lock down the link path. So it is probably much easier just go to Best Buy's website for that).

But it's finding the things I CAN'T normally find by going to the stores web site that I need an inventory checker for.

Staples is the low hanging fruit, you're just using a frame around a url and letting their site do all the work. To do Lowes or Best Buy well, you'd need to write code that would go to all the stores in a certain area, scrape the data from the results, and present it in a useful manner. That's a lot more work on your end, but a lot more valuable on mine.

In other words, I want to hear about or find that this [bestbuy.com] is on clearance, and have an easy way to see all stores within 5 miles that stock it and at what price (Best Buy doesn't have consistent clearance prices...)

If you guys are ever willing to put in that kind of work, make it a subscription only site at like $10 a year. I'd pay for something actively kept up to date and reliable, that at the same time wasn't QUITE available to everyone. It'd be nice to at least have a chance to beat the horde to the Best Buy door Smilie

Best Buy clearance item inventory check can be done using the techniques in a previous thread I saw (link below). But what you said is very valuable: if someone could write some scripts to gather these information and integrate them in a meaningful manner, that work will be highly recognized and may deserve a subscription fee. We will see if we can do it some time in the future.

The checker works ok but take Staples for instance. You can check inventory at your local store ONLY if the item is carried online also. If its not online anymore, you're sol because it searches only online items. We need it to search B&M inventory ONLY as there are plenty of checkers that check online sku's, but I only found one that searched B&M inventory sku's
and it stopped working after a while. I KNOW it can be scripted to check B&M ONLY, its just a question of making it happen. Thanks for your hard work though. Wink

Thank you for your feedback. This is similar to the situation with Best Buy (there I know where to go for local store clearance items). We currently don't have the capacity of our technical person working on these but it will be in our future plan. Juggle

Thank you all for all the feedback. We provides two convenient links, one link is for a quick FAQ about the checker and the other is to re-open the result page in a new window (so the links inside become clickable).

We will continue to work hard to provide the best inventory checker, and please continue to provide us your feedback. Thank you.
