I have fixed ~ 15 of these (actually SR-606's) over the last couple of years..takes about 20 minutes , $3 worth of caps and .10c of solder.
Did the first (a unit that I paid ~$250 for) and it worked perfectly. I then picked one up at a garage sale for $5 , fixed it and sold it on Craig's List for $75.
The rest of them I have picked up for cups of coffee--from a buddy that works at a City recycling center--he calls me when he gets one and I buy him a cup of coffee.I fix'm , put 'em on Craig's List and usually get $50-$75 for them.
