Save additional 20% Off When You Order By Phone 888-453-7149 using code CC20.
YMMV on stacking codes over the phone.

My store sold out of the oil at the beginning of the month and then turns you away saying they don’t have any in stock. It seems like a bait and switch offer in my area. I’d imagine they probably order 1 case each shipment so there is at least 1 winner per week.

I came to correct the spelling of Valvoline - but after checking the PDF it appears the joke's on me!

The shelves of my local store were empty, too. I asked the floor help to check the back and they were able to locate another two cases.

Thanks to the o.p. for the heads-up.

I went to three stores in my area and all three were 'sold out.' All of them told me to come back in three days and they would have some in so I went to one of them again a week later and their shelf looked exactly like it did the week before with only 1 or 2 quarts each sitting there. However, they did offer me the same deal on Peak Full Synthetic 10w30 so I took it.

All stores in my area report it as in stock. Picked up 5qts of 5w20 and a filter today at the closest one. Thanks for posting!

A couple dollars cheaper than Walmart's best deal, without the oil filter.

So if I put this in my 99 Saturn with 182k miles, which has only had conventional...is it gonna blow the thing up?

Chances are you'll start to have oil leaks. It's been well known that switching from conventional to synthetic oil on a high mileage engine causes oil leaks.

Just goes to show that if you maintain your car, even with Dino oil, it will last. Well done.

You dont have to worry about the switch as long as your car is new enough to have fuel injection.

Back in the day the dino tar kept the seals good. If you put synthetic in it would "clean out" all the tar buildup, and cause the seals to start to leak. Of course this was also the days when the cars ran rich and destroyed the oil after 3k miles and you had to change your spark plugs every 2 years...
