Six Flags just started running their promotion on 2014 season passes. The benefits are two-fold:

1) 2014 passes work for the remainder of 2013. In some areas that's over 4 more months free (and some of the best months to go)! Take advantage of Fright Fest and Holidays/Christmas in the park, plus lower crowds and cooler weather.

2) Buy 4+ standard season passes and get a free upgrade to "Gold" passes. Gold passes carry extra benefits over standard season passes including free parking, bring-a-friend coupons, and other minor benefits that tend to vary by location (like early entry on select days). Free parking is a HUGE benefit as it can be nearly $20 per visit. Tickets must be processed (ie, you bring an ID into the park to get your laminated pass) by October 27th for the upgrade to gold.

Prices start at $55 x 4 = $220 + $9 processing fee + tax for four gold passes to Six Flags America. Gold passes are usually $90 sold individually. The processing fee appears to be $9 regardless of how many tickets you buy.

My local park, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, is $65 x 4 = 260 + $9 processing fee + tax for four gold passes. Gold passes are usually $96 sold individually.

Six Flags Great America is $68 x 4 = 274 + $9 processing fee + tax for all four compared to $100 each.

Gold passes work for ANY Six Flags. This means that since parks vary in price according to their size, you can buy a ticket to a smaller Six Flags to save money. It will have to be the FIRST park you visit after purchase as you will need to have your season passes processed there, but once that's done you can finish out the season at your local or any other Six Flags. This is practical for those living in Delaware who are in-between Great Adventure and America, for example.

Save an additional 5% using discover. Six Flags also announced an expansion for each park in 2014. See here: https://content.sixflags.com/comingin2014/

Answers to re-occurring questions in the thread:
  • You will need to have the names of all people you are purchasing the season passes for at the time you make the purchase. You will be prompted to enter the names when going through checkout.
  • Each season pass will have parking included as part of the gold upgrade.
  • If you purchase more than one season pass, you don't have to go all together at the same time to pick-up your season pass.

FYI: How to get season passes for $45 (at least in New England).

If you live close or are planning many trips to the park from now until the end of 2014 the Season Dining Pass is on sale and gives you lunch and dinner each day. Food in the park is not cheap so it will save you money if you go enough. Plus no more cooler and trips to the car.

if the 2014 passes can be sold/given to others, that'll fit people better.

This is an amazing deal. I'm going to order passes for my family of 4. We were hoping for one of these to happen. Now we can go ASAP!

We did this last year for this year's passes. Does anyone know if they have any special price for those who are renewing?

Nice. No waiting in line to enter the park.

"Show your Discover card at Six Flags and you can enter through the Discover Cardmember Entrance during the first two hours of each day to get to the fun even faster. "

Any idea how the exclusive time rides work in regards to how many wristbands per Discover card member? Like if I take some friends, kids, or whatever (non cardholders) will they be issued guest passes/wristbands?

Exclusive Ride Time "Discover Cardmembers can enjoy their favorite thrill rides without the crowds during Exclusive Ride Time Events at Six Flags! See below for a list of dates and participating parks.*

To participate in an Exclusive Ride Time Event, visit Guest Relations before the event start time indicated below and present a valid Discover card to receive a specially marked wristband and ride information.

For events beginning before or at park opening, Cardmembers can obtain wristbands at designated Ride Event tables outside the main gate."

I might have to take advantage of this one. With family in San Antonio and Dallas my family of 5 could get some serious use out of this. Thanks OP!

For me, the big thing is that it's not just a Free Parking pass, but Free Parking passes on ALL Passes! This is HUGE for me because sometimes my wife wants to go to the park separately or meet us there. Previously you only got ONE Parking pass (which we would put on our middle child's pass).

Also, for those at Great Adventure (NJ) and Magic Mountain (LA-CA) if you buy 4 or more you get free admission to Hurricane Harbor as well!

This is by far the best deal that Six Flags has offered on Season Passes in a LONG time!

Yes that is a good deal on parking pass for all tickets. I remember the first year we did this I had to pretend to be my wife. That is a good deal for Hurricane Harbor. Didn't see that deal in Dallas.
