This seems to be a trend of manufacturers trying to offload excess inventory by repackaging them and selling them on eBay as 'refurbished'. i.e., Nikon, Garmin

Good deal. If you manage to sell the touch cover (which will yield $50 the absolute minium) the tablet will be 150.

And at a 150 price range this is a pretty good deal since nothing comes close. Rembert this used to be $500 and sold as a ipad competitor. The magnesium alloy enclosure feels like a million bucks too.

LOL at all the people sucked into worshiping Jobs and/or hating Balmer
Is this post relevant? Nope, neither is the Jobs BJs or the Balmer haters.

From a hardware standpoint, this is awesome! I'm looking forward to using it with remote desktop to run real programs. Great price point simply for the hardware!
You can buy refurbed android tegra 3 tabs all day long for ~$150-200 and not be stuck with a dead operating system with few apps and no future.

I'd rather crap out a bowling ball than use Windows RT. I've never been so frustrated using a 'computer' as when I used Windows RT for a day.

Screw it, bought another. This will get the start button with the 8.1 update btw.
It'll get a start button that will bring up the Start screen, not a Start menu.

This company is just using a magic spell. These tablets only work for 31 days... Then CAPUT they turn back into slimy goo.

Android before 4.0 on tablet was junk compared to this WinRT. It has all the worse: terrible hardware (from most OEM), lagy, no tablet app... I used a couple (nook tablet, HP touchpad, asus transformer TF101)
RT just need more good app. The basic OS is fine, desktop was extra bonus for power user.
Wrong, RT is not a good one not even compatible with Windows mainstream operating system. I would jump on it if the deal was for Surface Pro (1080p resolution, Win 8, USB 3.0, microSDXC all absent on RT)

I have a question about the office that comes with this. I already have a 365 description and one of the benefits is the cloud sync. I can do work in onenote on my laptop and see the changes update in seconds in one note on my desktop. Will the version of office with the Surface work the same way or is it watered down?
