Thanks, OP.

Checked Camelx3 and it looks like this is the lowest price (I think Camel doesn't track lightning deal prices).

I love these things, but almost everybody who's tried mine didn't like them. It takes a lot more strength to do thick grip work. Not only do most people not have the strength it takes, they don't have the willpower it takes to stick with this long enough to GET the strength. I think it hurts their ego when the total weight they can handle goes down when they wrap these around a set of dumbbells.

That being said, these things are great, and I wish the next size up would go on sale too!

Does this work out forearms? I'm not sure how this product works or what it does.

that should be a selling tool... for home gym people with not as many dumbbells and plates etc...or bundle it with p90x type of workouts...where you only need a few dumbbells and once those become easier you then bring in the grips to make it hard again with the same lighter dumbbells or bars you were using before...

Thanks! Woke up to see this post just in the nick of time! I've been wanting these and at this price, it can't be beat. I also remembered I had a $20 reward on Amazon so I walked away with these for about $7 =)

It makes it harder to wrap your entire hand around the bar, which in turn makes it harder to grip. your grip muscles are all in your forearm, so some moves automatically become a forearm exercise on top of the intended muscle.

Because you have to drop the weight in order to safely lift with these fat grips, your normal workout gains may take a hit (bicep, tricep, shoulder, etc.) until your forearms catch up and become equivalent to working out with the narrower bar.

While this may be a deal compared to normal prices, I have had decent success with just wrapping a wash cloth around my Bowflex 552s. An alternative to using a fat grip would also be to do heavy/static hammer curls Smilie
