HSN is offering an Android on Tracfone, the first of its kind. Phone is triple minutes for life and includes a lot of goodies:

1. $25 Google Play Card
2. 600 Minutes, 600 Text and 600 MB of Data
3. Car Charger
4. Choice of Back Cover

This phone is unique as it offers three different tanks of minutes; your minutes, texts and data are no longer shared. Great value! Nice to see Tracfone add an Android handset to their lineup!

ICS with 512MB RAM will be sucky to barely acceptable. Been there and wouldn't do it again.

Considering how price sensitive Tracfone customers are, Tracfone should seriously consider introducing Lumia 520 or a variant in its lineup. That phone has some good specs at its price and sells around $80.

That was very helpful....

It is an Android phone with $40 worth of airtime, $25 google play card and other accessories for $130. Not including the accessories you are basically paying $65 for an Android phone with no contract and no monthly bills or service charges.

Sorry you did not like the deal that I found.

Are you even on Tracfone?

Either you're stuck with a bar or flip phone for the most part. http://www.tracfone.com/phones.jsp

As far as I know this is the ONLY android phone for Tracfone.

I have not been able to find another Android phone anywhere else for Tracfone (that includes their own website). This is the most advanced phone ever offered to Tracfone users. While their touch screen feature phones are nice, this blows them out of the water.

Seems like a nice deal for those that don't use a lot of talk/text/data. So this phone will triple everything you add to it?

Howard forum is stating these are the new android cards for these phones:

2 GIG $50 for Web Browsing
750 MEG $20 for Web Browsing
300 MEG $10 for Web Browsing

Does that mean this phone will triple those? That's pretty sweet since it carrys over and doesn't expire month to month. They also state these phones run on Verizon?

Depends on the phone. Tracfone can use Verizon, AT&T or TMo. I think most of their phones use TMo, followed by Verizon and then AT&T.

If the phone takes a SIM, then it's either TMo or AT&T.

No SIM means it's Verizon (CDMA)

Spec says it's CDMA http://www.hsn.com/products/samsu...3_0_0_0-NA

Mode: CDMA 800/1900

Some verizon phones do use Sim cards. I know mine has one and it's only a 3g phone, not LTE. Might be because it is a global phone though.
