Under "Digitally Delivered Software", consider getting
  • Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 11, Digital Delivery
    and/or
  • Adobe Acrobat XI Standard, Digital Delivery
They are $50 each - 20% = $40. Killer deal.

not bad for a new xps...the xps8500 refurbished are going for around the same price.

I wish they would step up just a little to a 650 Ti or something in these systems. It seems like most people would want a higher end card for gaming/graphics or no card at all for general/office style usage. I guess I don't see the low-mid range graphics as appealing to many people.

For course Dell wants you to pay extra for that shake head

Tempting deal.

The cheapest outlet XPS 8500 from what I can tell right now is $779 - 30% for about $545 + tax. XPS 8700 (v. XPS 8500) has a 4th gen i7 rather than a 3rd gen i7, GTX645 instead of a GT640 and it's new rather than refurbished. Other than that, they seem to be the same.

So tempted, but i don't need it NOW. Should I wait? Or is this worth pulling the trigger with BF so close?

$671.99 - $75 from a GC = 596.99 + Tax. Sounds like a good deal, but is it hot?

What is the best video card that has been confirmed to work in this, with and without new power supply?

It is a 460 Watt power supply, probably not a very good one. So look for a graphics card with 450W requirement.

If you want to go with Radeon, I think the only option is a HD7770 (80-90 bux, 400W requirement)

If NVidia, GTX 660 and 660 TI both only need a 450W so you should probably be okay with that. However, you might want to take a look at the power supply once you get it (You will NEED 2 6-pin connectors)

I have built quite a few computers and sometimes its easier and def cheaper to buy the right one and make a few upgrades. I am interested in building a brand new i7 machine though. On the fence.

Running a 2500k with 256 ssd and 7970 now which is pretty good, all custom built. Was thinking of using this dell for a steambox with the tv.

No Win 7, no sale. Win 8.1 still sucks for desktop.

Thanks, I just bought one of these. Unfortunately, looks like I'll also be needing to buy a copy of Windows 7. Anyone know where to get a screaming good deal on a legit copy of W7 Home Premium 64?
