I think he knows, that's why he specified 670 4GB edition. The difference in clock efficiency is small between the 670 and 680, and 670s tend to overclock higher which basically evens out the overall performance. I actually grabbed two of those 670 4GB cards (they're on 680 PCB and have the upgraded 680 rear-exhausting HSF) for SLI. Gotta sell my GTX 780 now...
Ridiculous. Buy 3gb 384bit 7950/7970's for $200/260 respectively that handily best these memory restricted nvidia cards.
Nvidia = 780
Amd = everything else
Bad drivers, slow updates, horrendous crossfire scaling & profile support, lack of 3d vision, no PhysX effect eye candy in many games, and poor communication on forums when any problem arises... sounds like a deal! You do realize memory bandwidth isn't a direct indicator of performance, right? Or that the 7970 is slower than this card, while costing the same and lacking a ton of features as mentioned?
