Anyone brought anything from here before?
Couldn't find anything about them online except for http://www.webutation.net/go/review/avobuy.com

I mean if they're not a reseller of anybody like they claim...then why are they only selling stuff after they have brought it at a wholesale price whatever? isn't that what a reseller is?

Apparently they're located at:
15568 Brookhurst St # 343
Westminster, CA 92683-7572

...even the address doesn't say professionally like Suite 343 or Unit 343 or whatever...
the whole site is done weirdly... it's a GoDaddy.com site  and it was made on April 29, 2013 according to http://who.is/whois/avobuy.com

....those game console prices look interesting as well as the giftcards... OMG

i gotta wonder though...does someone here own this site/store? lolol

$150 for an xbox one?!

They're 'why are we so cheap' page is hilarious... Apparently they expect you to wait "at least" 2 months
http://www.avobuy.com/index.php?r...ation_id=7

"Once we get the units here, we will ship them to you immediately. This process usually take a lot longer than 90 days so please be prepared. If you want your stuff next week, our website is not your best option."

Also... no such thing as scams:
"There is no such thing is scams, stealing, cheating you out of your money. We guarantee it! We will refund your money 100% if you haven't, don't want to wait, etc! Plus, you can always contact your bank card and have them file a chargeback!"

You cannot even find out who the owner of the site is on WHOIS.com or GoDaddy they do not list any names and only a PO box as an address. HUGE red flags on this site!! Also the address they list on their site is a address for UPS drop boxes so that number could be a drop box. I also checked to see if they have a business license they do NOT. No wholesaler will even give them the time of day let alone let them make purchases. This reminds me of the guys on the corner with there crap claiming it is the real deal.

OMG!!!! WHen you check out the page for the IPAD they say it can take up to 190 days to get it!!! They also just copy and paste their discriptions off Amazon. They left the Amazon URL on the page. This is a sad joke. My daughter has a friend who just ordered something from them!!! I told her to do a chargeback ASAP!! They are not supposed to charge until they are ready to ship!!!

An interesting read about a conversation between an unknown individual and Alan Vo:

http://iblackhatseo.com/?p=8141

A couple of people have posted on a blog that they eventually received their items from that website, but complained about the time it took. Just as the site claims, I think you will receive your (heavily discounted) product, but you will need to wait an undetermined amount of time said to be 90 days or more. I made a small purchase just for the heck of it, I will post what happens in 90+ days :S

That reminds me of those dumb penny auction sites where you have to buy bids. In most cases if it's too good to be true, it's not true.

Small purchase? Everything on there is over $50 mostly over $100!

Good luck let us know what happens. Just checked their terms. They are going to be opening all of the boxes so who knows if they were opened already. Since they are not authorized reseller I wonder if manufacturers honor warranties? Very strange business idea. They get to hold on to someones money for 90+ days, then possibly refund it. I think that is the key here they are doing something with the money.

Hi Stefaniaf, I made the purchase when prices were lower. A couple of weeks ago the prices increased by almost $100 on some of the items.

I agree with you that they must do something with the money. According to information on the link from my previous post, that Allan Vo guy owns a payday loan company. Selling cheap items and making the customer wait 90+ days may be a way for him to attract capital for him to lend short term through his payday loan business. Apparently payday loan schemes earn up to 600% interest when including all fees and interest rates. This would allow him to discount items more deeply the longer his clients wait. In addition, the 90+ day window of racking in orders probably allows him to place large bulk items at wholesale prices.

Well I checked that site again, & noticed that a bunch of things increased either by like $25 or $50 or $100 from the last time I saw this.

Maybe they import drugs inside these electronics? that's why packages are opened & everything... ::totally confused::

they could be holding the $ to actually go buy the item too, from wherever...
or to go buy drugs & hide it inside electronics? lol no idea

well it can't be stolen coz according to the post that Georges linked, it said something about how all the phones would be verifiable by Apple themselves that they were real phones & not fake or stolen phones if Apple was called to verify....and something about LAPD was next door to his business so everyone could go check out his business next door too roflmao

this whole business is totally weird.

I asked them to send me some pictures of their stuff and they said it belongs only to them and the credit card company.
They replied :

The pictures are for us and the credit card company. Please do not rush buying from us if you need help believing in us. Just give it some time and visit us again in the near future. Hopefully then you are comfortable with that and give us your business.
