Use Security Freeze... It is preventive.
Costs only $10 per agency ($30 total) for life (unless you unfreeze your report, then it will cost another $30 to freeze it back).
Any monitoring is reactive..

The scores you receive with IdentityMonitor® are provided to help you understand your credit and are not the same scores used by lenders to evaluate your credit.
-These scores are FAKO, not FICO.

I'm currently rebuilding my credit and using www.eliminateidtheft.com. They allow daily pulls from all 3 credit agencies, which has been amazingly useful. Think I'm paying something like 12 bucks a month.. but for the ease of daily reports and scores, its totally worth it.

been paying $4.95 for over a year now. It is good at checking at your scores and reports. Other than that it sucks. The service is horrible. My sister tried their service when she had negative report posted on her credit report. All citi did was mail bunch of letters to her telling her to fill out and send to the bureaus. I ignored it and dealt with the bureaus, BBB CFPB and the creditor directly and got the problem solved.

Rather than paying $5 a month, you can get it for $ 1 a month by churning it every month with different emails

Now I feel screwed. USAA charges $12 and its one pull a month. (It used to be daily)

creditkarma [creditkarma.com] does it for free.
Only one report though.

Creditkarma gives you your Transunion fako score once a week. Its not an actual report which shows your accounts and pulls, but it is handy as a free tool. Creditsesame does the exact same thing as creditkarma, same transunion fako score, but i think they give you a score once a month for free.

4.95 for how long? Is it indefinite as long as you maintain the service?

i think its for every month not every day..

Plus, to help you gauge the health of your credit, you'll receive an analysis of the credit score compared to national averages. As a member, you can then check the credit report and score every month for updates.

I had the service for a few years before they re-branded from Citi Credit Monitoring to Identity Monitoring with the $4.95 price. As long as you maintain the account, you will keep the price. If you ever charged more, you can call and request to cancel and they will lower it permanently. I like that the service helped monitor activities on my credit and it shows how the different scenarios can affect my credit score.

I would recommend it!

You should mention the upgrade includes the SCORES and the reports from all 3 bureaus, your title only mentions the reports.

I had this for $4.95 per month, but I ended up cancelling it. TPH, it's crap. The website layout seems like it was done in the '90s. It doesn't display your info in a way that would be helpful or easy to read. Hell, creditkarma is more informative compared to this junk and it's free.

I would advise saving your money.
