Its $13 to AK and HI, Im not blaming them for adding the charge but it turns this from hot deal to warm deal for me.

The HD380s are probably the best deal on here... they are about half of what they are charging on Amazon - and MSRP is $300! (not that you would pay MSRP)

Do you mean HD380Pro ? I did not find anything about HD380s.
I just checked from Amazon. The lowest price is $79.01 + $5.99 shipping for Refurbished production.

$58 for HD280s? That's pretty hot, even refurbished. I bought my first pair in 2007 for $74.80 from Amazon. They're normally hover around the $95 mark now, and on rare occasion drop into the low $70 range (just twice since May 2012 from Amazon).

My pair got stolen last year in May, actually, so I'm really tempted to jump on this. But I bought some cheap Monoprice headphones to hold me over in the meantime, so I'll probably just bide my time and wait for someone on Craigslist to offload a pair on the cheap.

I'm still thinking of whether to get 360 or 280

A reviewer says that the 380 Pro headphones are V-shaped, having a lot of bass, stating that they were bad for classical music.

I do listen to classical music as well as metal, dub step, rock, etc. But classical is definitely important, and I would want a more neutral sound. Would upgrading to the 380 pro or 280s be worth it coming from the 428s?

how do the 380s compare to the 280s (-s as in plural)?

i have a set of 280s, but for some reason, i like my ATH AD700s much better, i don't know what soundstage means, but supposedly the AD700s have a decent one and the 280pros don't. i really don't know anything about the technicalities of each; i just know that, to me, the AD700s sound "cleaner."
