I think they register it to your account. I didnt activate mine but it shows up as activated in my account.

I received the device, and tried to activate it. Freedompop website told me my device ID was already activated. So I was assuming they already activated the device before it's shipped.

After using it for 1 week, I really like it so far. Good coverage in Bay Area. One question: in my Freedompop account, it shows I have used 0 MB of data. But in these past 1 week, I am sure I have used more than 50 MB of 3G/4G data. What's with the discrepancy? How do I accurately know how much data I have used?

I tried to cancel my service, did it online but not sure if it went through, so I called the "Slickdeal special number" listed in the wiki. Got a recorded message saying that there's an unusually high call volume, asked me to email, and hung up on me. I surely hope I don't get charged...

They activate when they ship. You automatically lose several days for shipping time from the free 1-month.

Your account page should show data "Used", "Unused" and days "Left".

I need to agree to the GPS Agreement but cannot get access to my Freedompop utility (192.168.0.1) via computer. Page times out...any help would be appreciated.

My first month 3GB wireless promotion is ending in 2 days. I looked at FreedomPop's myaccount webpage, and the available plans are $3.99/mo for 500MB, then $28.99/mo and above for 2GB+.

I was under the impression that I would get free 500MB per month? What do I need to do to get that? Call and cancel the current "Premium 2G (4G/3G)" plan (I don't see any option of cancelling it on the website).

Darn .. my device was working fine until today. Now, it's saying no battery even when it's plugged, just one day after my cc was charged for the next billing cycle. No time to mess with it right now but I'll do some of the usual checks later (battery connections, reset, etc) ... guess if that doesn't do it I'll be getting in touch with support trying to get a replacement battery (shouldn't it still work if it's plugged in tho?).

Edit / Update: It works okay plugged in with the adapter, if the battery is removed. I've contacted and heard back from support, and a new battery is now on the way, which should resolve the problem. So far, so good Smilie
