Well since they closed down the Black Friday forum, I am going to ask they move this thread to deal talk. Look for us to continue the fun of beating this horse to a pulp there. Thanks all for the comments this year so far, has made an interesting read all around!

I have a PS4 launch edition preordered on Amazon with guaranteed release date delivery. I orginally planned on buying it for myself but now I need the money so I'm gonna sell it on ebay as a preorder and then just change the shipping address from mine to the buyers.

Already have 3 pre-ordered at my local bestbuys. Just like when the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 came out, these consoles will be hard to find especially since it's the holiday season.

Which of the 2 do you all think will fetch more resale value? I have several of both currently on preorder. I think the PS4 will be hotter and harder to find due to the lower entry price.

Do you think it'd be smarter to buy and resell the ps4 kills one bundle or just the ps4 regular package?

I agree 100% - all this reselling does is artificially drive up the price and line the pockets of one party at the expense of another, absolutely no value is added.

Unless there are artifical shortages, I don't think the XBone will be too hard to come by

Not complaining, just disappointed at how douchy so many people in the world are.

I have a PS4 pre-ordered with Amazon, originally for myself. Then I managed to snag a pre-order from GameStop before those were sold out with the intent of reselling the GameStop one...and then my Amazon one was upgraded from Standard to Launched Edition and it's so much easier and appealing to just sell the Amazon pre-order with "release date delivery" from Amazon and that way I just change the shipping address to the winning bidder on eBay like everyone else is doing....

Previous Problem...

I know a lot of PS4 Pre-orders were being taken down from eBay before because the items weren't in accordance to eBay policy about shipping within 30 days of auction closing...THAT'S OUT OF THE WAY NOW, It's closer to ship date and most auctions are ending on or after October 15th so the release date falls within those 30 days...

POSSIBLE SERIOUS PROBLEM....

I saw a few eBay auctions in which the description read, "I will not be changing the shipping address because it is against Amazon policies and will ship you the PS4 within 24 hours of release date."

?? I figure the more people try to auction off their Amazon next gen console pre-orders on eBay, the more Amazon will notice these changes of address. I fear Amazon will stop this and I won't be able to sell off my Pre-order as planned. I was waiting to auction it off around the end of October when people are more desperate for it and the price will skyrocket online...=O lol

Anyone have info on this?

If someone wants to pay a premium price then that's their choice. If people don't want to pre order them to ensure a regular price, then why not sell for a profit? For all we know a spoiled kid of a millionaire is getting it no matter the cost

I'm going to say PS4. I believe because of the "must ship within 30 days" rule or whatever, there are no Xbox listings on eBay, but on Craigslist, I have not found many preorders for the Xbox for sale. At least from a seller's perspective, the PS4 is more popular. And yes, I believe price definitely has something to do with it...

I Googled this and it does appear to happen...sometimes. I can't confidently say yes or no as to whether or not this will cancel an order...I wouldn't risk it. If you do find out any other information, please do share!

Sony and Microsoft should cut out the middlemen and each put several thousand units on eBay themselves. Each one that draws a premium over the MSRP brings them a bit closer to profitability and thus hastens the day of the first price reduction following a die shrink.
