Thanks for fixing the link, will Costco substitute something else instead of the batteries ?

So $50, Mmmmmm. What do you really get besides a $5 chicken, $11 batteries and $16 water ($32 total). I'm a bit skeptical of the remaining value.

My Sams club is about to expire. I need to pay $45. Any place to get the Sams fees lower?

finally live near a Costco...debating on getting a membership.

They are offering a $10 Costco Cash Card for joining in person locally(awareness code 22997)...if they stack, its a lot juicier.

I just ordered this deal through my state employee discount page a couple weeks ago. The total will be $57 with the $2 shipping and you'll get it by mail within about 7 business days. They send you other useful coupons like $5 off any meat dept product and about 7 others like that.

A WORD OF CAUTION:

If you have ever ( I mean ever in your life or in your household) had a costco membership before, they will force you to buy the executive membership for $110 and your $55 voucher will be applied towards that. When they told me this (since I was a member a few years ago), I said forget that, and went to another costco to sign up as a brand new member. I just didn't give them my ID, but showed them credit cards instead with my name on them to verify identity. They do not need your ID or SS# to verify anything - just something with your name on it. Doing this, I was able to get the regular $55 gold star membership and a free household card to use. Hope that helps someone.

There was a similar deal a few months ago for Sams that made front page.

It was actually better than the Costco deal, as it contained no water
(useless for me).

No sooner than I had joined Sams, a deal similar to this one for Costco
popped up, so I ended up joining both.

If it's the same as the one I got, there's also this:

$5 off meat dept.
$5 off prepackaged salad mixes
$3 off choc chip cookies
$? off canned chicken
$? off canned tuna
$? off kirkland coffee
$10 off prescription glasses
$5 off food court cooked pizza pie
Maybe another. I think there's 12 total, or perhaps the 12th was an advertisement. I've gotten $50 (perhaps less due to actual cost of water, and cost elsewhere - I don't normally buy water bottles, or more because rotisserie chicken is $3/$4 more elsewhere) back already with the coupons, but don't see myself using the ?- marked ones nor the glasses. I got a regular uncooked pizza because I didn't notice it was for food court and they let me use it (ymmv).

I used a different style deal where I pre-paid and got certificates and the coupons in the mail. I purchased two sets and got two certificates and two sets of coupons. I then took them to Costco and got the executive membership. You may be able to do something similar if you want the executive membership and two sets of coupons. I don't know what happens when you pick the executive membership on this form; whether you'll get one set of coupons or two. If anyone figures this out, please add to wiki.

I love Costco, but I mainly keep a membership to buy their gas, which is always 5-10 cents cheaper than anywhere else around me.

Since when is a 35 pack of bottled water worth $16?
