Log in to your American Express account http://www.americanexpress.com , click on Recent Activity under a card that you have, then click on "Offers For You" tab and see if the offer is there. I am guessing this will be YMMV since its applies to individual accounts

OFFER DETAILS:

Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $75 or more at Staples by 12/10/13.\

Good stack opportunity with the deal going on this sunday: Oct 13th Staples Ad

More Savings Ideas:

Use Plink Link [plink.com] and earn 300 plink points ($3 amazon gc) for every purchase made over $60. Just link your amex card with the offer to plink. They just came out with Staples as a featured merchant so this is a relatively new deal

Dead. Called the number below and was told they are no longer adding these offers manually.

call (800)297-7500 and speak to a representative, she added it for me. Very helpful and friendly!

I could see most of them say offer not available to them.
I too did not have the offer and I just opened an Amex credit card a month ago.
Just thought it may worth to call CS. Yes it did worth to me, added both the cards on my account with the offer... YMMV

Offer valid in store or online at www.Staples.com. Purchases from StaplesAdvantage.com & E-Gift Cards not included. If you order an item during the offer period but it is not sent to you until after 12/10/13, it may not count towards determining whether your purchase qualifies for the offer. Gift Cards are eligible. Enrollment for the offer is limited. Limit 1 statement credit per American Express Card across all American Express offer channels. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 8 weeks after American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from the merchant until all of the items from your qualifying purchase have been provided or shipped by the merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you will not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.

Reminder: The $75 required does NOT have to be in a single purchase. Can be multiple purchases adding up to a total of $75, as long as they're on the same synced card. All purchases must be completed by the Dec 10 deadline.

How are you guys splitting payment on multiple cards? My staples does not allow.

Think it depends on the store and cashier you get. Out of all the staples near me, only 1 allows splitting onto multiple cards.

huh... I split up charges at staples all the time.. using my amex and visa prepaid rebate cards... the last one I did I think I used prob 10 cards of small balances for a 250 dollar purchase... its a great way to get rid of them... its easy... just tell the cashier how much on this card and swipe away....at least for me it is

The cashiers probably don't know that they can.
Ask a manager, or the head cashier.

are they all registered under one profile online?
Yes. But in the past I sometimes get an offer on one card but not others. Like I got the best buy offer on only one card and the shoprite offer on only one card.

Do you guys with multiple card have them registered with different logins? Seems like that would be a much bigger hassle to pay off the bill every month. I log in and pay them all off at once.

with a cashier I just tell them ive done it many times before... this last time was with a manager at the register... she said no problems ran all 10 or so cards in a row... then paid the .68 cents or whatever with a crip 1 dollar bill...LOL..

then I asked her about a different item before we left and I ended up buying it...she knew i had more cards as was like do you want me to run them its not a problem... I said no I need to use my CC with this one in full so I have the added 1 year warranty protection from my CC... she said..yeah thats the better way to buy it then... out the door..

I dont see why they would ever turn money down.. or a sale down... just bc its multiple forms of payment... now walmart I dont think you can use more than 4 types of payment...bc ive done it before and on the 5th one it went crazy so the manager had to come over and do some magic and we started from scratch and just ran 4.. its their job to take my money if they dont then I would raise hell.. or buy gift cards and then pay with them... ive never had a company not take multiple gift cards to their store...

I think its the local store policy, it used to be fairly easy to get cashiers to split but according to one of the managers a store was hit with a significant loss due to purchases made with stolen cards when I asked for the manager to explain why I can't split onto multiple cards anymore. How 1 card vs 10 matters if their all stolen is beyond me though.

Outside of this area most Staples stores seem to not care if you split onto however many cards you want.

Most likely prepaid Visa cards to cash them out using Amazon payments. At least that's what most savvy slickers do, including me. Smilie
