Log in to your American Express account http://www.americanexpress.com , click on Recent Activity under a card that you have, then click on "Offers For You" tab and see if the offer is there. I am guessing this will be YMMV since its applies to individual accounts

OFFER DETAILS:

Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $75 or more at Staples by 12/10/13.\

Good stack opportunity with the deal going on this sunday: Oct 13th Staples Ad

More Savings Ideas:

Use Plink Link [plink.com] and earn 300 plink points ($3 amazon gc) for every purchase made over $60. Just link your amex card with the offer to plink. They just came out with Staples as a featured merchant so this is a relatively new deal

Calling AMEX online services to add the offer worked perfectly. They mentioned again that it not showing up for everyone automatically is a glitch.
My rep had no clue but got it added anyway after being put on hold for a short time and talking to a supervisor.

Got it.

I have a $40GC I paid $20 for.
Now I have a $25 off 75$ from Amex.

Hmm how do I calculate my savings like this? I would have to spend a minimum of $115 and that would have saved me $45 dollars. So a savings of 39%

Better if you have 4 cards and can split the payment on them...

300+12.90 MasterCard + fees
25 x 4 back from Amex
20 from staples.

Planning to try that. Would it work?

AFAIK, you need to spend $300 in a single transaction. Also, the limit is 1 on the rebate unless you have multiple rebate addresses.

I think Lucky was intending to make one transaction. Purchase at least $300 in MC GCs is the Staples requirement and making at least a $75 Staples purchase is the Amex requirement.

So yes, Lucky, splitting the payment onto four different Amex cards, which I think Staples is fine with doing, should work great going that route.

Got it. Never done split tender with Staples like that. Have used multiple gift cards and credit card in one transaction so I know that works.

Was able to call and add it on all 6 cards. The offer was not there on any of my cards previously, but after I made the call I can see it added inmy offers on all my cards. Smilie
same here: called in to the number of the wiki just now. The representative knew the staples offer I was referring to, and added it to all my cards.

This easily makes up for the reduction in the small business saturday credit. =)

Now that I think about it I don't believe I have ever done a split tender with credit cards, only what you mentioned doing Staples GCs and a single CC. I think it was just in the latest Staples thread(?) someone said they used a few different non-Staples prepaid cards and it went smoothly.

Now even saying all that it's probably best to say YMMV, especially if you get a gray shirt...and they found out the MC GCs are a rebate deal...and Amex is having a 25/75, then the whole thing could go down the toilet. LMAO All in all I think it should be fine though.

I do split tender a lot. At the small business where I work it's extremely easy to do as many credit cards as you want. It just costs the business more.

Is the shell available only in-stores? What other generic card is good one?

Thanks for the tip!! I called customer service and they added the offer to my other card. As a 17 year member with AMEX, I deserve all offers on all my cards.

I'll be making a $36.10 profit. Staples make this deal very easy since one can purchase Visa cards online.

I forgot to ask when I called. Does this work on Citi Amex. Most of the offers available on FB/Twitter work on Citi Amex cards.
