Newegg has the MartinLogan MLT-2 5.1 CH Premium Home Theater Speaker System Black System for $169.99 shipped free.

Linky [newegg.com]

Lowest price I've seen for the MLT-2 ever, previous low was $200.

EDIT: If you haven't used it yet, Newegg has a 10% promo code if you make the purchase using mobile interface or via newegg's mobile app. The promo code is MBLMOBILE10 (thanks poetuan for pointing this out!). This lowers the price to $152.99! I didn't plan to buy this, but I couldn't pass that price up!

IRON EGG GUARANTEE

I myself just purchased these a couple months ago when there were on sale for $200. They were an amazing deal then and are an even better deal now.

Subwoofer frequency only down to 37 hz, but what do you expect for sub 200?

If you can't afford more, looks like a nice set!

Thinking about pulling the trigger on this. I don't have a receiver though. Any slick deals out there that would pair with this?

Everything I have read, I would wait for the Monoprice Set (Energy Take Classics knockoffs) to go on sale for $200 and grab those. Although these do get very good reviews from folks and are not bad for this price at all.

at $169, no tax, and free shipping. This deal is pretty slick, no?

I thought Monoprice lost a lawsuit and could no longer sell the version that were Energy knock-offs.

Hit by patent suit, Monoprice apparently pulls top-rated speakers [cnet.com]

Monoprice doesn't sell the Energy Take Classic Knock Off anymore. I suggest you just buy these and buy a better sub woofer, the Energy Take sub woofer is not great either.

Energy (Klipsch) and Monoprice resolved the suit, and Monoprice came out with a different knockoff that presumably addressed the concerns raised by Energy.
Here is the NEW Monoprice premium home theater system, now with LESS INFRINGING OF PATENTABLE TECHNOLOGY!!! [monoprice.com]

Darn, I should've waited. I bought these back about five months ago and I still haven't set it up. Could've saved another $30. Frown

These are reviewed and are better than the energy take classic 5.1's. I was debating heavily between these and the energy 5.1's before finally deciding to buy the Pioneer andrew jones set instead. These were a steal at $299, at $169 I'm considering to buy one just to wait until I have enough room to use it as my computer speakers.

Honestly, this should hit FP.
