80k LINK - no landing page however flyertalk has reportedly showed people confirming the 80k points when calling to activate: 80k LINK Offer [chase.com]

Updated with the new Mastercard 80k application (credit to flyertalk). However when you call to activate just confirm. 80k can get you anywhere from 4-16.

Here is why I like this card:

Very easy $1,000 spend in 3 months from approval compared to many that want $2k-$5k.
Zero annual fee the first year and than just $49 each additional year. You get a free night at any IHG hotel each anniversary so that easily offsets the $49.
I have been lucky and have been able to use the heck out of the 5k nights. Most I have had to use was 10k at a brand new Holiday Inn Express just opened.
You get 10% when using points - so a 10k night is really just 9k.
Automatic Platinum Status. I have yet to pay for a night but always get upgraded and they always throw in little perks like bottle water, free snacks.
I cancel/book like mad and most the time I have until 6:00pm the night of stay to cancel without losing my points (YMMV).
2x points gas and grocery's - many of the other big bonus cards only give 1 points for gas and grocery's. With those once I hit the minmum spend it goes in the drawer. Since most my wife's normal spend is gas/grocery she uses it for those purchases as we value our IHG points since it's the best option at a few places we frequent.

Here are the perks:
Free night* - Annual free night .
5X* - Earn 5 points per $1 spent when you stay at our hotels
2X* - Earn 2 points per $1 on purchases at gas stations, grocery stores & restaurants
1X* - Earn 1 point for every $1 spent on all other purchases
10%* - Automatic 10% point rebate
Platinum Elite* - Status as long as you're a Select cardmember
No fx fees_ - No foreign transaction fees when you use your card for purchases abroad
Introductory Offer - No annual fee_
$0 Introductory annual fee for the first year, then $49 More...

From flyertalk:
Q. Once I meet the $1000 spending requirement, how soon will I receive my bonus points?

A. Bonus points typically accrue at the close of the billing period in which you incur the corresponding charges. Points should appear in your IHG RC account within a day or two thereafter.

NOTE: If you complete your $1000 required spending within 7-10 days of your statement close, the bonus may not post until the following month's statement, even if the regular per-dollar points post on the first statement. This is normal behavior for Chase and is not worth a phone call.

Good card and perks. Applied for this during my last churn. I used the link over on Flyertalk though (thread here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cr...-visa.html) which also works and was the link that was sent out when it was targeted. But yes, as the person said above, the offer has been around for a while (as seen by the posts in that FT thread)

looks tempting but nothing beats the U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa Signature Card. 5% back on my own categories, plus extra bonus cash when requesting cash back over $100.

I canceled my old priority club (now IHG) card a few months ago and immediately regretted it when I realized the value of the annual free night. Kept it for 2 years. This is tempting, but it's probably too soon.

In a way it is, it's just a lot more toned down now. Limited one $25 bonus annually and a lot of categories are removed or limited.

Yes, its valid for most IHG hotels. I used it for a $350/night Intercontinental in HK once.

Exactly - that's why I churned this before the Marriott. I get way more bang for the buck and not restricted with where I want to use the free night. With the Marriott you have to spend 2x this card, restricted free night, and 50% increase in annual fee. Of course if you're a frequent Marriott stayer that is a better card as you'll get the bigger spend points.

The only way to get 80K is sign up locally at a US Bank?
