Backcountry.com - Fuji Mountain Bike Tahoe ~ $515 - $601

I know all the rage is 29” and 27.5” and blah blah blah one should shop at a local bike shop or find one used on craigslist. This beats bikesdirect, craigslist, and your LBS.

This is a great price for this setup for a legit mountain bike (Not recreational cruise around town type riding)

Google some rebate sites. There is one out there offering 14%. Therefore making the Tahoe 2 ~ $481and the Tahoe 1 ~ $566- Killer prices!
Also CB on discover card

I'm not a bike expert (well I'm a noob actually) but a lot of the components on these bikes are very good...most bikes in this price range use Shimano Alivio/Acera/Atlus....pretty good brakes too, although I would prefer a good mechanical brake setup over hydraulic.

once you go hydraulic, you wont want to go back....

well unless you dont like bleeding them...but yea, braking power on hydraulic vs mechanical is pretty sweet

Why on earf would u prefer mechanical over hydraulic? Hydraulic is soooooooooo much better.

Good prices. More cashback available through other sites (up to 14% back). Use one of the comparison cashback sites to find 'em. I'd be happy to be more specific, but unfortunately its against the rules.

I don't know, I have one bike with Avid mechanical and one with Shimano hydraulic and there is no comparison, the hydraulic stops right now. In fact going from mechanical to hydraulic until I get used to it, I stop too soon. The turn is coming and I'm stopping before I even get there. You can go way late with the hydraulic and it's fine.

I've got XT derailleurs on my stumpjumper. They are like butter and I mean that in a good way. Smoothest derailleurs I've ever used.

BTW, this is a good price on these bikes.

I'm not a serious bike rider(which explains why I'm such a noob hereLMAO) so mechanical is enough, and I'd hate to do all the bleeding on the hydraulic brakes (BTW, how often do you have to do maintenance works on the hydraulics?)

Was originally planning on getting a $400ish bike, but based on the components of these two bikes I think they are very good deals and thinking about stretching my budget a little....I mean even if I were to sell the bike later these should hold their values much better than a normal $400 bike.
