apparently someone didn't get loved enough in their childhood...
No, I hate people who say ipad is the best, downplay tablets like the note, and continue on to say on nexus 10 is the best etc. The fact is, what is a tablet for... I got it as a way to easily take notes at school without taking out my laptop etc and only the Note tablets allow you to do just that... all the other stuff are utter crap. I've owned many tablets from ipad 1 2 3 to asus transformer, to nexus 7 to note 10.1 note 8.0...
I have also owned and tried from Ipad 2,3 & mini, Nexus 7 16gb, 32gb, Asus transformer 32gb, Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 2 10, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Note 8.0
I use Note 10.1 and 8.0 most of the time.
I have no problem watching DivX and Xvid mkv HD videos on both of the notes. I have other tablets that have higher resolution but it did not matter much to me when I was using my Notes.
Seriouslyy I cant find any other tablets that are better than Note 10.1 in this price range.
As for RT and Win 8 tablets, I have never owned any windows tablet and I have no plans on trying one.
Majority of people in here are not buying a tablet because it has a wacom digitizer - they just want a good tablet, sure they G pad may not be the same class as the note but in actuality the G pad is a better tablet with its build quality - better processor - adreno 320 - full hd screen - newer android os and will get android 4.3 and most likely 4.4 later down the road since its their flag ship 8 inch tablet.
My advice is to wait - if this note would have been $200 which there is a good chance that it will - that would be a good deal.
Majority of people buying the Note ARE buying it because of the digitizer. Whether they actually need it, or will use it, is a different debate.
It really is pointless to come into a thread and suggest a completely different class of product, especially something that costs $100 more.
If somebody is looking for 10" tablet they don't care whether you (or anybody else) thinks that 7" or 8" is a "better size."
If somebody wants a tablet with a digitizer, why suggest something that doesn't have one?

As far as size goes, I have several 7", an 8", an 8.9" (Nook HD+), 9.7" (TouchPad), and 10.1", and 11.6" tablets - they all have pros and cons and boils down to personal preference.
