Kershaw® 3/4-Ton Knife $7.90 @ Cabelas - Free Ship to Store

If you don't have a Cabelas nearby shipping starts at about $6, for me anyway. Still not a bad deal. They are selling for $20 on Amazon and Ebay. Buying multiples the shipping gets a little easier to take. I got five for $50 total including shipping. Make nice stocking stuffers at that price point.

Nice knife even at twenty. Not a top of the line Kershaw but really solid and useful day to day knife. Blade shape is great for a work knife and it flicks open very easily. I had is baby brother the 1/2 ton.like the size and ease of opening of this one better.

Kershaw® 3/4-Ton Knife
The wide-blade Kershaw 3/4-Ton Knife is a great work and utility knife for a range of everyday tasks. Blade is machined out of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and is bead-blasted for a smooth finish. Slimmer blade stock with extra steel with wide panel grinds. Two-thirds of the blade have been thinned for a stout yet strong performance. Glass-filled nylon handle scales for durability and dimensional stability. Rubber insert provides additional grip traction. Locking liner provides a lockup security while the blade is open and releases with a push to the left when needed. Wrench-shaped pocket clip. Imported.
Blade: 2-3/4".
OAL: 6-5/8".
Closed length: 3-7/8".
Wt: 3.8 oz.

Here is a video if you would like to get a better look at the knife.

They've still got the smaller knives for $5.50 too, so I got some of both for Christmas. Shipping was $8.95 to AZ.

Just to save some people the time of checking them out- like the 1/2-ton and unlike the 1-ton this has just one position for the pocket clip, RH and tip DOWN.

Personal preference, but I have one very expensive knife that only works tip-down, and I find I never carry it for that reason.

After watching yesterdays game, it has been verified that Kershaw does indeed "fold".

I only see three reviews on Amazon and it has 4.5 stars. You sure you are looking at the same one? They do have a 1/2 and 1 ton models.

1 Overall good quality. Difficult to flick open in my opinion but seems well made. Blade is sharp. The one star deduction is because the clip bent easily in my pocket.

2 I don't have a whole lot to say about this knife as I have not owned it for very long. I got it on clearance for a price that simply could not be passed up. So far I am very happy. It has kershaw quality, and I have never been disappointed with one of their knives. I can not say the same for some other brands. It is very sharp out of the box which I always appreciate. It is the perfect size for an EDC knife in my opinion. The only downfall is it is a little difficult to flip open one handed when initially received. I am going to try and oil it up and see if that helps, though it really doesn't bother me too much. Great knife, great price. Sturdy blade and construction too.

Highly Recommended.

3 This knife is worth every penny. I am very pleased with the quality of this inexpensive blade. I recemend this blade to everyone.

Couple of complaints about ease of opening. I found the opposite, The one I have flips open very easily. I don't have to use my wrist at all, just a flick of the thumb. I have the 1/2 ton and do find that one hard to flip open and also like the extra size of the 3/4.

what does ton mean in knife? is it the quality of steel or the weight the knife can withstand?

I think it's just their name for the knife model. They use some weird names. I'm thinking this series is a reference to pickup trucks.

Yes... Pickup trucks are sized in "ton" ratings, what they will hold in the bed. Now they are "sales classes" because the trucks actually all hold different rated amounts (a super duty 3/4 ton pickup truck holds way more than 3/4 ton in the bed).

F150=half ton
F250=3/4 ton
F350=1 ton

I assume you're just joking about this question. But if not, I suggest you do not ever go shopping for any Crumpler bags.... now those names are guaranteed to make your brain hurt lol....

never understood why people comment about this when they review knives. if you own a knife, you should own a knife sharpener anyways. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) (unless it's a high end knife that you prefer to strictly have sharpened by a professional)

I have owned this knife for a while and like it a lot. For this price I ordered another. You're crazy if you don't, it's a quality knife for $8, believe me, it's a steal.
