Yep, best device ever designed for a tablet. I wish more manufactures would offer the option. It is great not having to charge it via a USB cable. I was lucky to get this with the Touchpad bundle from QVC. I missed the initial sale but picked one up after some of the shopping carts started to expire. I was really lucky to get one.

Great deal! Unfortunately, both my 16GB and 32GB that I got during the fire sale have died (will not charge). I repaired one myself (tore it down and installed new battery as many people had to do). It worked about two weeks, and then died again (would not charge). I guess that I'll be moving on to something else. I haven't figured out what though... I've been waiting for the Ainol-Novo 10 Captain (quad core) for almost a year, but I think that they are having some problems with it.

Probably worth it for some. To late for me. Although I use my touch pad everyday (cm), I doubt it has m more than a year life left in it. A year ago I would have jumped :-)

How would you set this up? im interested in your idea. Is foscam an app? you set the touchpad next to the crib?

Foscam is a popular brand of affordable IP cameras. I have the FI8910W. It's not HD, which is fine. But it does offer infrared which is necessary to see the baby when the lights are out.

Mount it on the wall, ceiling, or place it on a tall piece of furniture.

You can pull up the camera using any web browser. I often use the touchpad running android and some free IP Camera app because it's a bit simpler to access this way. But sometimes I'll use the notebook or the iPhone w/ browser. It just depends on what's more convenient at the time.

Why is this still so much? Frown

I want one for my remaining TP, but that's still kinda high for a dead product.

I've been waiting a loooooong time for this to come back down in price. I was hoping for under $20, but I bit. Thanks.
I waited for a really loooooooooooooooooooong time for this to come back down in price and when it finally did, my TP decided to leave me forever. Big Grin

j/k. Got the touchstone shortly after I got the TP, which is still with me but picking up some dust lately.

The Touchstone dock is what made the Touchpad so great. As far as I know, no other tablet manufacturer has used an inductive-charging dock. When one does, I'll buy their tablet.
The touchpad was think & heavy by standards when it came out. Its too bulky today. I don't think makers would want to add the weight and thickness accommodating the hardware for inductive charging.
