damn it, that's an awesome price on a great game rifle.... (I say damn it as I can't buy a rifle yet) must resist. Side note: under specifications it's listed as a 308 not a 270, but suspect that's an error and the ruger 270 is in fact a 270 Wink

Yes, they also offer this rifle in .308, and I think just used the same specs for the site and didn't bother changing caliber. It actually wouldn't bother me if it were .308 anyway. Really, I would prefer it Cool

If it was a .308 I would put on a pot of coffee and wait.

If this was a .308 or .300, I'd be first to order. I may still pick it up. .270 isn't bad, especially for this price. They have a store here in Utah, so I might be able to have it shipped there and pick it up without an FFL fee. Also means I get sale taxes. ;(

Stock number is also that of a 308. I'd be interested in a 308....

I'm not knocking the 270. Just don't want another caliber.

Seems like a really good price. I don't need this at all, but it's tempting.

My future wife is going to kill me, too. At least she let me buy a .22 Marlin M60 earlier this year. She'll understand... shake head

Mine still hasn't found out about the SR22 Pistol I bought... I'd be interseted in this if it was .308 or larger.

Awesome, I found a FFL who charges $25 for transfers. My area typically charges $40+. Damn NYC area...

Anyone determined if this is indeed .308 or .270? Specs/model point to .308, the title/review says .270
