This printed out on my recent trip to Staples -

Sign up and get $10 off your purchase of $50 or more. Valid for new subscribers only -

www.staples.com/emaildeal

Coupon will be emailed within 2 days of signing up.

I haven't gotten mine yet (signed up a minute ago) so I don't know the restrictions, if any. Go get 'em!

Update: It took about a day and a half to receive.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

How to generate your own $10 off $50 coupon

With Staples blocking sign-ups from common free email services, it is now more challenging to generate coupons. But have no fear, there are still many ways to go about it. Here is an overview of the easiest way.

You'll first need to buy a domain name. Check out registrars like namecheap.com and name.com, and shop around for deals.

Then, sign up with an email service provider that offers a "catch-all" mailbox feature. This means that emails sent to any address at your new domain will automatically be collected into that catch-all mailbox, essentially giving you unlimited email addresses. For example, if your domain is example.com, emails sent to ________@example.com (fill in the blank with whatever you want) can be automatically sent to your.main.email@example.com. No need to create new email accounts.

Gmail via Google Apps for Business [google.com] offers the catch-all mailbox feature, as does many other email service providers. It's also possible that your domain registrar included email services when you bought your domain from them (though they may not necessarily offer a catch-all mailbox). Search around for a service that you like.

This sounds complicated and time consuming, but it's really not. Feel free to PM me if you need some general advice about the process. -Olafur

Outdated, but still relevant, information:

Thank you to NoMoreStaples

"Valid through 1/31/14 in Staples(R) U.S. stores only. Minimum purchase requirement of $50 must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies. Tax is not included in calculating the minimum purchase. Not valid on desktop or laptop computers, LCD/LED displays, tablets, netbooks, Apple(R) products, Bose(R) products, Amazon Kindle(R), NOOK(R), Epson(R) ink and toner, custom printing orders placed online, all Copy & Print self-serve and computer workstation, gift cards, mobile phones and mobile phone services, Staples(R) EasyTech(sm) professional-grade and on-site services, depot repair and parts, phone cards or postage stamps. Each item purchased can only be discounted by one coupon, applied by cashier in order received and prior to tax. Coupon not valid if purchased or sold and must be surrendered. No cash/credit back. Not valid on prior purchases or on purchases made with Staples(R) Procurement or Convenience Cards."

Note: Even though the stated expiration date is 1/31/14, it is shown 4/4/14 on the printed receipt. So in some cases, the coupons could be redeemed after 1/31/14 with some talking to Staples cashier/manager.

Plus the coupon is around 20% if your purchase is just at or over $50. That covers more than tax and easily turns an FAR into a MM even after tax. However, we need to get some coupons before we see how much we can abuse...er...use them. Smilie

LOL ... This was the reason why I did not post this deal some days ago. It is never good enough for some.

By the way, the coupon is "valid through 1/31/14." So sign up with a lot of fake emails and you will have plenty of coupons left for future use.

I suggest you use real emails, or use the gmail trick. I am so glad I had a dozen email subscriptions prior to last week, getting many of the 40% off coups (but the offers did vary per account, so you need a lot of email accounts to get a good percentage of the best coups)

Staples might be sending more email coups in the future since killing app coups.
