I believe there are going to some good tablet deals during BF if you can wait.

There is nothing cheaper than this (a few match in price), though admittedly it lacks in power and the resolution is bad. It should still be fine as a basic web-browsing machine with some extras if one does not want to wait, and none of the other $40 BF tablets strike me as particularly better than this (although there are better ones for a few dollars more).

Honestly for 40 bucks I couldn't complain, its fairly responsive and once I cleaned it up it was pretty snappy, the build quality on it is pretty good for what it is. It didn't leave me feeling like it was going to fall apart on me, the buttons seem pretty ok and the touch screen is ok, not a great picture though but again you get what you pay for. Honestly the only thing I really wish it had was 1GB of memory, that 512MB gets used up quick. Playing anything super graphics intensive is hilarious to see, but for the most part its a solid kids tablet, or something dick around with. The microcenter near me was also offering a 9.99 3 year warranty that covered physical damage. They'll replace it, give you store credit, or refund you if somethings wrong with it. Dont use it 2 years from now? Say its got a dead pixel or "its not working right" and they'll take care of you. woot

Was wanting a 10" but for $40 and not $150 I think I can deal with it. Haven't taken it out of the box yet, so no review. Sorry. But that price! They only offer a 3 year coverage for $ 9.99. Didn't get it, but got a case (with coupon) designed for it for $ 9.99 instead.

Can you share which case you got (link) and where you got the coupon from? Thank you!

And when you do open the box, let us know what you think!

Word of warning, If you're buying these for Christmas presents you might wanna steer clear.

I just called and talked to a rep that said they are not extending return period until black Friday.

So if you buy before BF and it's broken on Christmas or if it just doesn't meet expectations you are stuck with it.

You could of course unbox it and play with it to see if it's going ot function right but that can be very tedious thing to do as some problems wont show up immediately.

These have some of the best reviews for 50 and under tablets but it's not like the price is one in a life time.
Sucks I was gonna get one for my sister for xmas.

EDIT: Normal return policy for tablets is 15days.

LOL MC just sent me a email on BF, they're advertising these tablets.. but they've been selling them for 2 weeks for this price already shake head
Oh ya they changed their product page to "in store only"

I ended up ordering one last night, I called and asked if I ordered online if I could pick It up friday and get credit as a xmas gift and they said that would be fine they don't consider it purchased until you actually pick it up.

This morning I seen a proscan at walmart for 49 with keyboard/case, 8gb onboard, and hdmi out.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Proscan...e/29017591

the con's however are that it is running 4.1 vs 4.2 and the proscan website is a joke.. not expecting any help there.. can't even find firmware downloads for half their products and only some even have pictures wtf Frown

Azpen on the other hand seems to be small.. low budget, but at least they're trying.
They've got a bunch of files for downloading including a 4.0 ICS firmware if you so choose (not sure why you would)
http://www.mediafire.com/azpensupport

I'll still pick up the Azpen I got reserved as a backup incase the proscan ends up being crap.. if it's not i'll just return the azpen.

The azpen has a RK2928 (Cortex A9) vs proscans allwinner a13. (Cortex a8)
The a9 should be a little faster clock for clock, but is usually seen in dual core configs.
