Don't remember if this is a good price, but its a good vacuum indeed...if you plan to use it for the whole house, invest in one more battery...

There is a brush on/off thing and you pretty much always need brush on (use more power), otherwise dirt/hair will quickly accumulate on the non-moving brush. And I am using it on hardwood/tile floor...

I've been waiting for the price to go down as well. I just checked Amazon and it showed the price had decreased from $148.94. Thanks!

Having purchased cordless vacuums - just remember that the battery is typically somewhere most manufacturers cheap out on. They're also horrendously expensive to replace when they begin to go downhill. Frown

Hoover.com had the same model, only corded, for $67 shipped in case anyone prefers that option.

Knowing the 110v220v issue, anyone know if this can be easily disassembled to fit in a suitcase (to be sent for use overseas) ? or is it one monolithic piece (which will not make it fit in a suitcase). TIA

thanks OP, I am looking for a good cordless vacuum.

but i saw on amazon the similar model from Eureka (Eureka Quick Up Cordless 2 in 1, 96H) cost only $34 which also has some good reviews...

i am pretty new to this thing.... can someone explain why there is so much price difference ? is it worth to spend $80 extra to buy this one ? Wink

Thanks..

According to CamelCamelCamel this is the lowest price Amazon has sold it. I'm in the market for a new one, guess I'll jump on this. My Electrolux is dying a slow death and was never as good as my old Shark cordless stick but can't seem to find those anymore. Hopefully, this will be as good as the reviews say it is. TU & repped!

I've had this item for 3 years and LOVE it. Paid $136 on Amazon back then. Somewhere I read that buying an extra battery helps (so you're never without power) and so I now have a back up battery (lithium) that I keep charged and ready. This is such a great little appliance for quickie cleanups liked spilled crackers, dirt dragged in from outside, etc. I now only really vacuum about 1x each month (we're mostly hardwood floor though). Oh, and yes it does work great on either carpet or hard surface.

I've owned the Quick Up for about 3 months now and I have to say I'm disappointed. It lacks power to pick up anything larger than dust particles and after 3 months the battery seems unable to hold a charge. I have hardwood floors so I don't use the brush and even so I can't get more than 2 minutes before there is a noticable decline in suction. When we first got it, it would last for 10 minutes. I read you were supposed to try to completely discharge the battery before charging again and that is what I did. I don't know how well the Hoover we do against the Quick Up, but I've had good luck with Lithion ION batteries for power tools. Picked one up since this seems to be the lowest it's gone. Repped OP.
