Will this be available online also? Or since it is "door buster" - available B&M only?

anyone know if this deal is in store only or online also?

and is this going to be very hard to get in store?
i would rather spam the refresh button, than to go in store.

I wonder what are the specs
response time is absolutely horrible. 8.5ms on this model. Say hello picture to blur. I have never seen one of these in the wild so I can't comment on their performance and picture quality, but just looking at the specs I'd pass.

Where do you see 8.5ms? I see 6.5ms everywhere instead.

I intend to do Discover Price Protection. Since Target only carries one Element 50" LED TV and Element only has two on their website. One model for Target one for Walmart. It shouldn't be to difficult. Lastly I am hoping that somebody will post a copy of their sales receipt with the DPCI on BF.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I have Discover, but have not used Price Protection in the past. So what I would do is order this online now, save the Target BF ad, and then use it along with my receipt to send to Discover and it should be approved?

This TV does NOT come with an HD Tuner!!! The Walmart one does, as do all the other cheapy ones I've seen everywhere. This Target one says "HD Ready" in the specs, and goes on to say you will need a separate set-top box for HD channels. So this would be good for Roku and DVDs, but not so good for over-the-air HD channel watching...

Every HDTV sold in the U.S. MUST have a built-in tuner by law, and according to Target's website it has ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuners built in.

I'm sure the element 50 inch will be a fine tv. Just remember all these tvs are made with the same exact parts. The only thing that differs is the name they decide to put on the box and the price that goes along with the name. But that's all you're paying for, is the brand name. I bought the Westinghouse 40 inch hdtv at target 3 years ago on black friday. The picture quality is excellent and to this day I've never had one problem with it. I've compared the picture quality of my Westinghouse to Samsungs and Sonys and haven't noticed even the slightest difference. Be sure to get to Target early to get this deal. At least six hours before the doors open. Good luck!

While I agree that picture quality does not dramatically between comparable sets between manufacturers (You WILL, however, notice a difference between the 50" Element and a high-end 50" Samsung), I have to say that no-name manufacturers do use cheaper parts, have shorter warranties, and fail more often (look up the average rating between a comparable 40" Coby set and a 40" Samsung set and this will become obvious). Provided you buy from a store with a good return policy, I would say that the risk is worth it though.
