Thread Details

In my opinion, the best deal for a flat screen this year. Hopefully Amazon and Newegg match this price, and other brick and mortar stores also match.

Best Buy 4.6 rating overall with 371 reviews:

Enjoy, and good luck! The deal isn't to wait in line at Walmart, but to buy it online with free shipping at a competitor, with some type of cash back and an additional year of warranty through your CC. I've had luck with Sears PM'ing on BF - BB may also do it. But there's tax. No tax at Newegg and Amazon for many.

REGARDING THE SAMS CLUB/WAL-MART MODEL NUMBER DIFFERENCES

Q:
What is the difference between the E701i-A3 and E701i-A3E other than the price?
A:
Thank you for inquiring about our product.
There aren't any differences in the specifications of these models. The differences in the model numbers are for inventory purposes.
Thanks again and have a great day.

I have been looking into this TV since it came up on the Sam's Club VIP ad. I wonder if other stores will not price match since Walmart/Sam's seem to have a different model number (E701i-A3E vs E701i-A3), perhaps for that very reason?

Also, with a TV this large, what would be the minimum sitting distance from the screen? They currently have this TV on display at my local Walmart, and I wasn't that impressed with the picture close up. Granted the content, a Walmart commercial for a flying fairy, left a lot to be desired...

I guess the reason they add this extra letters on BF items for people not to get PM at other places...so sad...My discover card would match if the model is same

Went to take a look at my local walmart also because I'm considering getting it too and I agree that the picture was unimpressive, but I'm hoping that walmart didnt take any care to set it up correctly or the content itself was mediocre.

Going to take a look at best buy and see if they have one out.

close up? are y'all stupid?

First of all, even a 4K TV looks bad close up. Couple feet away and its amazing.

Second, it needs to be calibrated. those TV's stay on 24/7 and were probably never calibrated.

I did a "test" of how this 70" would look on my wall and it is HUGE. For all of you that are considering this TV, I would do the same. This was a good sized family room as well.

Puh. Give it a few weeks, it won't look so big. Just like how that new computer is SOOO fast...till you get used to it. Big Grin

That being said, i might have got away with a 55" in my space, or a 60" even (have a 50")....but 70" would have been impossible for my room (TV is in a corner). As the man in a post above said, if you're sitting back 9', a 70" is not too big if you have a spot for it.

It was, I bought that one and the 60" Vizio as well, both have been great with fantastic pictures. I'll probably pick this one up this year.
