Costco B&M Altair Lighting Outdoor LED Photocell Lantern $29.99. 3 Year Manufacture warranty (Lifetime Costco) ITEM 708695

Originally 39.99 and now 10 off for 29.99. I originally purchased for front of house and after hooking up and liking them replaced the back of house with these. They are going for 55 on Amazon currently.

Here is a link to same item at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Altair-Ligh...B00DVN5SAA

I have seen some negative reviews on them due to LED driver going out but figured i'd chance it. With the 3 year warranty plus Costco figure it's worth a shot.

It takes roughly 10 min getting it out of box and ready to install and another 15 min or less to install.

you should change the "3 year warranty" to "costco lifetime satisfaction guarantee", which i will take over ANY warranty... :-)

No. There are LEDs on PCB.

Got two when it was 29.99 two month ago.
Need one more to complete my setup.

I will check it out tonight.

Thanks

I am with you as i am going into this with low longevity expectations. That being said i'm extremely happy with them. I purchased 5 total and have them all installed. They are much brighter than the LED Bulbs i had in standard outside lights.

So far i couldn't be happier with them. Just hope they last.

My neighbor got them, but for some strange reason the photocell do not work. All three remained on all day all night. Granted they use less electricity but that would be quite an annoyance.

I like em as well, glad they didn't take long to install because I know I will be replacing them at some point. Hope they last the winter.

I changed the title as suggested to Costco Warranty.

Right now I have CFL bulbs in my outdoor lights...They take a loooooooong time to warm up and actually put out any useful light, especially bad in winter. I presume these will not have that problem, can any owner confirm? I would pet these lights on a switch, and use instead of yard lights that are on only when the dogs go outside. Thanks OP repped and TU.

I've only had 3 for 2 days and 2 for 1 day at my house but they come on instantly. Essentially the light mechanism is like the can retrofit LED kit at Costco where it is led's on a chip. it's instant on and they put out a lot of light.

Does anyone know the specifics on the Costco warranty? I'm being lazy and asking instead of researching. Wondering if i have to keep the boxes or if i just need a receipt in the event it comes down to taking them back.

I know the box say good for cold climates, but it also says for use in temperatures above I believe 20 degrees (I may be wrong about the exact number but it wasn't very below freezing). So caution in cold weather climates.
