Hello, I hope you are doing well.

Introduction
I spent a couple days researching for and writing up this deal thread, and will continue to update it accordingly. Please feel free to ask questions and provide any relevant information. Terms and conditions are available in the first reply of this thread. Thank you.

General information about Isis [paywithisis.com]

The Deal
•Earn 20% cash back on all in-person purchases, with a maximum earning of $200 (i.e., the first $1,000 you spend will get you $200 in cashback).

Eligibility and Requirements
•You must be a T-Mobile, AT&T, or Verizon customer and obtain a free Enhanced SIM card from your service provider.
•You must have one of the eligible Android phones (list of eligible phones [paywithisis.com]).
•You must use Isis [paywithisis.com] - a free app to make payments - and Serve [serve.com] - an American Express prepaid credit card program. (Serve usually costs $1 per month, but linking Isis with your Serve account waives that $1 fee.)
•You must shop at one of the stores that allow payments using Isis. (store locator [paywithisis.com])
•The promotion period runs from November 14, 2013 through January 31, 2014 February 28, 2014 (this promotion has been extended!).

News Articles and Information about the Promotion
Official information from ISIS [paywithisis.com]
Official Press Release [bizjournals.com]
ISIS Mobile Wallet - Verizon Wireless [verizonwireless.com]: Get up to a $200 credit when you tap to pay with an American Express Serve® Account in the Isis Mobile Wallet.

How It Works
1) Download the appropriate app for your service provider at the Google Play Store [google.com].
2) Purchase products, in person, at one of the eligible retailers [paywithisis.com].
3) Receive a 20% cashback credit on all purchases, with a maximum earning of $200.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1) Download the appropriate app for your service provider at the Google Play Store [google.com].
2) Get an ISIS chip from your mobile service provider.
3) Sign up for Serve here [serve.com].
4) When the Serve card arrives via postal mail, activate your account.
4b) While waiting for the card, you can call Serve and have them do a partial activation of your account - enough to add funds or a backup funding source - so you can partake in this deal immediately.
5) Add up to $1,000 from a credit card to the Serve card.
6) Purchase products using ISIS (not the Serve card), in person, at one of the eligible retailers [paywithisis.com]. The purchases can be completed over multiple transactions over multiple days.
7) If the cashier asks to verify the card, read off the last 4 digits of the virtual Serve card in the "Card Details" button.
8) Your 20% in credits should arrive within 3 days.
9) Transfer the credit into your bank account.

Enjoy!

Promo period has been extended to FEBRUARY 28, 2014.
Still a maximum of $200 credit per Serve account.

NOTE: Some phones (like the Galaxy S4) REQUIRE that you have the OEM BATTERY in when you use NFC, so ISIS will not work if you have a 3rd party battery. This may be the source of many failures, as it seems to be a largely unknown requirement.

Also you can use AmexSync offers with Serve now, so even more extra cash back Smilie Lowe's, Best Buy etc all have current sync offers. -Thx WinDroidGuy

*Informed by AT&T that ISIS will not activate when using any prepaid service like Gophone, ONLY postpaid
Confirmed working on T-Mobile prepaid service. Needs data service only to activate and add cards.

Terms and Conditions

Receive a statement credit to your American Express Serve Account equal to 20% of the value of each contactless payment transaction made from November 14, 2013 through February 28, 2014 using your eligible American Express Serve Card in the Isis Mobile Wallet at locations where American Express contactless payments are accepted. Limit of $200 US in total statement credits per American Express Serve Account in connection with this offer. Transactions made using a plastic American Express Serve Card are not eligible for the 20% credit. American Express Serve Cards issued to holders of subaccounts are not eligible for this offer and such cards cannot be added to the Isis Mobile Wallet. Statement credit will normally be applied to your American Express Serve Account promptly after your eligible purchase transaction clears, but could take up to thirty (30) days. Statement credit may be reversed if a qualifying transaction is reversed or cancelled. Offer subject to change or cancellation at any time.

* Verizon Wireless customers that sign up for a new American Express Serve® Account through the Isis Mobile Wallet® will get a $50 Serve Account credit through January 6, 2014.*: http://www.verizonwireless.com/wc.../isis.html
(I took advantage of this and received $50 in my Serve account instantly.)

* Many questions are being asked as to how loading Serve with funds work
1- Link a credit card to Serve and load your Serve account with $200 per day until you reach the $1,000 need to receive the maximum $200 allowed under this promotion
2- Link your Serve to a bank account and load the account with $1,000
3- Use reload cards like Vanilla or MoneyPak
4- Go to CVS/ 7-Eleven and load your Serve account with cash.

Under option 1, maximum load amount is $200 per day and $1,000 per month
Under option 2 through 4, you can load all the $1,000 needed in one transaction.
_________________________________

**Please note that you do NOT have to "load" Serve with funds in order to make purchases with the ISIS Mobile Wallet.

Purchases can be made using the backup funding source you can add through Serve account setup.
Works sort of like PayPal.
You can make all the same sort of purchases with backup funding source as you can with "load". (all purchases, including gift cards, bill payment, direct payee payment, etc.).

Credit card that doesn't charge cash advance fee when loading SERVE:
Chase Freedom
Amex Costco (Have used it as the backup funding source and haven't seen anything additional charged)

I see several gas stations and pharmacy on the list
Within two miles of my residence, I also see a bunch of gas stations and pharmacies, including CVS and Walgreens. I am also seeing dozens of other stores, such as:
•office supplies stores such as Office Depot;
•toy stores such as Toys 'R Us;
•sporting goods stores such as Foot Locker and Sports Authority;
•electronic stores such as Radio Shack;
•fast food restaurants such as Jack in the Box;

•and food shops such as Jamba Juice and Peet's Coffee.

I live in an urban city, so that may be why there are more retailers around me.

ROFL. the only eligible store around me is the Verizon store.
Is that bad?

I'd love my local T-Mobile store to be eligible. I'd get an off-contract Galaxy Note 3 (at $703, already slightly cheaper than the international version) for 20% off!

There isn't anything in the terms that state gift card purchases are not eligible. Isis definitely does not track what merchandise is purchased, so unless Serve looks into it, gift card purchases should definitely work. If I had an eligible phone, I'd go to a Toys 'R Us and purchase $1,000 in Amazon gift cards immediately. I may ask a friend to help me out and give him or her a commission. =P

So Tofu Vic, you don't even have an eligible phone and cannot take advantage of this deal--yet you've taken the time to post and thoroughly explain this for the rest of us? If so, that is quite selfless of you. Thank you, sir.

Lots of selections near Bellevue, WA, from grocery stores, food, shopping, etc. Too bad I don't have an eligible phone.

Question: I have an iPhone5 right now, but I'm thinking of getting a Nexus5. However, I don't see it on the list of eligible phones [paywithisis.com]. Does that mean it's not supported or did Isis Mobile not update their list to reflect the new phone?
