Deal Details

Hello, I hope you are doing well.

Introduction
I spent a couple days researching for and writing up this deal thread, and will continue to update it accordingly. Please feel free to ask questions and provide any relevant information. Terms and conditions are available in the first reply of this thread. Thank you.

General information about Isis [paywithisis.com]

The Deal
•Earn 20% cash back on all in-person purchases, with a maximum earning of $200 (i.e., the first $1,000 you spend will get you $200 in cashback).

Eligibility and Requirements
•You must be a T-Mobile, AT&T, or Verizon customer and obtain a free Enhanced SIM card from your service provider.
•You must have one of the eligible Android phones (list of eligible phones [paywithisis.com]).
•You must use Isis [paywithisis.com] - a free app to make payments - and Serve [serve.com] - an American Express prepaid credit card program. (Serve usually costs $1 per month, but linking Isis with your Serve account waives that $1 fee.)
•You must shop at one of the stores that allow payments using Isis. (store locator [paywithisis.com])
•The promotion period runs from November 14, 2013 through January 31, 2014 February 28, 2014 (this promotion has been extended!).

News Articles and Information about the Promotion

Official Press Release [bizjournals.com]
ISIS Mobile Wallet - Verizon Wireless [verizonwireless.com]: Get up to a $200 credit when you tap to pay with an American Express Serve® Account in the Isis Mobile Wallet.

How It Works
1) Download the appropriate app for your service provider at the Google Play Store [google.com].
2) Purchase products, in person, at one of the eligible retailers [paywithisis.com].
3) Receive a 20% cashback credit on all purchases, with a maximum earning of $200.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1) Download the appropriate app for your service provider at the Google Play Store [google.com].
2) Get an ISIS chip from your mobile service provider.
3) Sign up for Serve here [serve.com].
4) When the Serve card arrives via postal mail, activate your account.
4b) While waiting for the card, you can call Serve and have them do a partial activation of your account - enough to add funds or a backup funding source - so you can partake in this deal immediately.
5) Add up to $1,000 from a credit card to the Serve card.
6) Purchase products using ISIS (not the Serve card), in person, at one of the eligible retailers [paywithisis.com]. The purchases can be completed over multiple transactions over multiple days.
7) If the cashier asks to verify the card, read off the last 4 digits of the virtual Serve card in the "Card Details" button.
8) Your 20% in credits should arrive within 3 days.
9) Transfer the credit into your bank account.

Enjoy!

Shame my local Best Buy's not on the list-- with my PS4 and Xbox One preorders I could've hit that $200 awfully quick Smilie

Will probably still jump on this anyway, looks like a bunch of businesses in my area. Thanks OP!

I'll let you know about the sim cost later today, as I'm going to TMo to pick one up. If they don't want this to fail, they need to swap this for free, no way I'm paying anything over $1 to use this. My guess is, it's likely free if you're on a post-paid plan.
The Enhanced SIM card is free, at least to members on post-paid plans. According to the press release (source [bizjournals.com]):
Quote :
Starting today, customers with one of the more than 40 Isis Ready smartphones available from AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless can receive a free enhanced SIM card from their wireless carrier and download the Isis Mobile Wallet for free from Google Play.** Customers who visit a carrier retail store to activate the Isis Mobile Wallet will receive hands-on support and education from store associates.
Quote from Hatersgonnahate View Post :
Yes, this requires data access. Wifi will work only if the store you're in has free wifi for you which allows you to connect to the servers and make the payment. Otherwise, it'll be very difficult to use this without data plan
Data access is not required. According to Isis (source [paywithisis.com]):
Quote :
You do not need to be connected to your wireless service to make an NFC payment using your Isis Mobile Wallet. However, you will need wireless carrier service for some other Wallet actions, including necessary software updates, and additional data charges may apply based on your data plan and service provider's offering.
I hope this helps and provides clarification,
Tofu Vic

How can you use your Chase? Don't you have to use AMEX Serve to get the 20% back? You can add funds to the Serve card but essentially you have to "charge" your Chase card whatever amount you want to put on the Serve card right? I didn't think you could just straight up use your Chase card and get the 20%.

how do you "charge" or load the Serve card with another credit card? Can you do it on their website? Also, isn't this treated like a "cash advance" on a credit card? So you'll get charged a hefty advance fee.

Yes but it's treated as a cash advance rather than as a purchase.

Thank you for being the first person to verify that T-Mobile representatives - or at least the one you communicated with - knows about Isis and the Enhanced SIM card.

also, it's worth noting, while Amex Serve has a $1 monthly fee, by linking your Serve to Isis, it waives that fee.

depends on the card..

Sure, all Chase cards do NOT count as a cash advance for a serve load.
See how that works? You post FACTS, and not speculation or just plain bad info.

You are absolutely correct! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I have added the following text to the original post in this thread:

(The program usually costs $1 per month, but linking Isis with your Serve account waives that $1 fee.)
I was able to verify your information by checking out https://www.serve.com/isis/, where it states:

Plus, when you sign up for American Express Serve in the Isis Mobile Wallet, there are no monthly fees.

Oh, my...Works at Meijer stores. AND I have a 20% off general merchandise coupon to use. I sense a couple of ipads in my future or perhaps $1000 more Amazon Gift cards...
absolutely stellar post!

If this works out, I think it is buy $1250 amazon gift cards, pay $1000 after 20% discount and then receive additional $200 back from isis...

If your 20% off coupon works for gift cards, then your math seems to work out perfectly fine. Do remember to make the purchase using your Serve account.
