HSN marked down the samsung galaxy light to $149 $50 off

This is similar to the Samsung blaze 4s

Not sure which is better, they seem comporable, though the light is quadcore, only .3mp front camera, can record HD.

Seems like a decent price: HSN link [hsn.com]

Comparison of Samsung Blaze and Light [phonearena.com], both t-mobile

For those who can wait a couple more months, I would say hold out for the Motorola G which is $179 off contract. Way better specs and more likely to get updates.

Going off current specs, its not going to have LTE, unlike the Light. Some might appreciate the smaller weight/size of the Light as well.

I dunno, you can't really go wrong with either phone for something that's worthwhile under $200.

Also, either is much better than the Blaze at this point.

Comparison of Samsung Blaze and Light [phonearena.com], both t-mobile
Quad core and 1800 mAh battery does not match well.. sad. (Blaze has 1750 mAh)
Also same 480 x 800 which is just 233ppi

If you are in LTE market and realllllyyy need LTE, then Light is your phone, otherwise, it's not a huge difference.

I think Blaze comes with Gingerbread, unless T-Mo updated it recently, Light comes with Jelly Bean

End of January for North America.
Does not have removable battery, does not have SD expansion. (only has 8GB model, I don't think it has 16GB option)
Larger phone, larger screen, better resolution overall nicer picture.
Not a whole lot better battery life maybe even worse due to larger screen.

I believe it has 1.2Ghz compared to Light 1.4Ghz.

I don't think Moto G has T-Mo's LTE, either, but there is no report if it has any LTE or not, TBA...

if you need a phone right now, both Light and Blaze are good phones at the price..

I don't know why you are adding used phones into the comparison. Not to mention adding $230 used Nexus 4. We are talking about $150 potentially cheaper device from HSN with new customer discounts.
BLU should not even be compared to something like Samsung or Motorola. They barely support their devices, if any.

my 3 current AT&T phone lines end their contract at the end of December.

I have been with AT&T and I would rather pay $0 or $100 for a high end phone and extend the contract, but now that there are words of AT&T throttling the unlimited LTE, I may consider moving to T-Mo as well. With all the attention T-Mo is getting, their speed might suffer soon. I think they are getting ready to pass Sprint and be 3rd in line.

nice thing about this one is that it has wifi calling...recentrly my signal seems to have dropped with tmobile...also, strangely, it has VoLTE, which is not common

edit:
seems like a great affordable phone. even the ROM is 8GB not 4GB like most cheapo phones

the processor might be much more efficient (due to being newer) so that may make it even better

anyoun has found a coupon? if we can lower it a bit more, I might bite just to try it out. Doubt will take it over my lg G pro, but might be tempted by wifi calling. Been losing many calls because of no signal in some spots Frown

Its a deal comparison not a new phone only comparison. Some folks have no problem buying hq used or recondition with up to 30day returns. I do list the phones being used at the end of the comparison. The d450 was added since its a deal on a unlock 720p quad core aws phone.

Shoot, I just picked up the LG Optimus F3 at Best Buy last week when it was marked down to $179. The Samsung Galaxy Light seems like a better deal for a lower price and 8 GB built in memory instead of 4 GB.
