It depends. I remember 14" 640 x 480 monitors. However, having some of the earlier 640 x whatever clearance 7" early Android tablets, and the Nook HD+ - yeah, it really does make a difference. Otherwise the processor and memory is pretty nice. Memory is a little low, but that's not too big and issue with a Micro-SD slot. The camera is the one advantage it has over my Nook HD+, but what's the resolution - if it's only good enough for Skype and video calls then for most people the Nook HD+ 16GB at the same price is a better purchase.

Yeah it's too bad they didn't spend ten more bucks for a better display. I'm spoiled from my iPad 4

And I'm not saying it needs a retina or a Nexus 10 display but maybe a1280x800 at least

You guys are asking too much for a $100 tablet. Sure the res could be higher but then the price would not be the same. This resolution is the same as netbooks but in a smaller 9 inch package. A few years back when netbooks were hot (before the Ipad put it in the coffin), people were more than satisfied with this resolution. I personally did not buy one as i have enough tablets already but for $100, i think its a good deal.

It does have a good review on Amazon and he liked the display. It would at least be a good tablet for a youngster.

I actually bought this tablet last week from Sams Club for my 9 year old. No problems so far. I think the display actually pretty good for such a cheap tablet. Battery seems good too. A lot better than the nextbook we used to have.

This, or the Dell Venue 8 for $127, or the Nook HD+ for around $120?

Updating my review. My son had this tablet for 10 days and the charge needle broke off in the tablet. Does not have a usb like charger its one of those needle like plug in. Needless to say its going back because even if we replaced it I can see him breaking the needle to the charger constantly. For that reason its going back.
