When you check out with V.me, the shipping fees are not discounted, even if you have Inner Circle membership. So, make sure that you take that into account while considering this discount - or you pick an item that is either ShopRunner eligible or free shipping eligible on TigerDirect.com

When checking out with the V.me promo, the final checkout page will appear with a "Discount $20.00" shown in the final tally. If it doesn't show, then you won't be credited with the V.me discount.

If you get an error message about something being wrong with your payment method at checkout, several SDers have reported success by changing their V.me payment method to a VISA credit card (V.me usually accepts all credit card payment methods, not exclusively Visa - except in this case).

I think you are counting you chickens before they hatch. Too many posts (even in this thread) have mentioned that AMEX deal will not work with V.Me. You have less of a chance of getting your bonus $30 statement credit than receiving my Walmart Price Glitch items.

Don't worry about it. Like the last poster, I got the alert from your post, so I gave you the TU instead of that guy.

But yes, AMEX seems to be pretty strict on redeeming directly rather through a wallet like Vme, GWallet, or Paypal

34$ is still a pretty good deal for a ssd!

I've gotten the TD rebate back in June when I bought HDD bundle. Can you get another rebate? It says one per household, but probably has different offer #.

If the rebate number is different, then yeah, you can do this rebate.

Bad deal, the Total Defense required activation before you can submit the rebate.

'SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The product must be activated prior to rebate redemption. Activation will require a valid credit card however your subscription may be cancelled at
anytime. Total Defense will verify that the product has been activated.'

The subscription is $75/Year according to reviews.
you activate the software with the serial/license info in the cd case.. then you register for the rebate online, print it out, print out your invoice and add upc and the activation code for the rebate on the print out you send it all in after SCANNING everything for your records... then you wait till you get your amex rebate card...spend it...then you cancel your auto renewal subscription under your account at the total defense website....take a screen shot that its set to EXPIRE and not set to AUTO RENEWAL... then make sure to check back and keep an eye on your credit card in a years time so they do not try to charge you... personally Ill check on my auto renewal status around 10 and 11 months time just to make sure it hasnt changed...

its really simple... and there is a more detailed wiki in other total defense rebate threads on the EXACT procedure..but I always wait till I spend my amex rebate card before cancelling the auto renewal...some activate and then cancel auto renewal right away... I prefer to wait just to not make them mad...and screw with my rebate...LOL

Cannot combine V.me and AMEX deal, I'm pretty sure.

AMEX terms:
For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you will not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.

I'm pretty sure no one has been successful in combining AMEX and V.me. no screenshots yet, and it is too early for statement credit.
Basically, it would be $54-20=$34 for V.ME or $54-30=$24 for AMEX
that is how its been for everyone that I know of so far...cannot combine them

just make sure the offer # is different... typically total defense rebates offer numbers change once a month... if it was june when you last did a total defense rebate then you should be good to go..just follow the exact steps in the other TD wiki threads and scan your documents before sending them in...

it goes by offer number... if it was a day ago, then it is likely to be the same offer number.... read my above reply to isbn

When registering total defense a second time, do you need to use a different CC, address and email?

My same thought. Although I hope there'll be another deal with Total Defense later in the month that won't make me feel as bad.

What I would've done differently with the $50 SSD deal is to buy a Tiger gift card as filler instead of the 99c AR item. The gift card idea came up in the Seagate hard drive thread.

I know grrrr. Maybe a larger drive next time hopefully. We have to pay tax for TD purchases in Texas so no filler was needed. I linked through SD too so at least I'll get 10% back.
